it could just be because you have a hard time making friends? not that you're a bad person.. it's just that maybe you're just hard to make friends? maybe like an MPK or something would do it

not to toot my own horn, but I make friends like crazy (almost every PT I am in I will have someone ask to add to friends list or vice versa.

Whenever I fish in qufim I bring my weapon and some armor in case someone calls for help (quite often with the banshees and thunder elementals that pop in most camps.) Or I'll give a congratulations to those who lvl.

Quick to make a joke, always level headed (stopped many PTs from breaking up because of arguments), good natured, etc.

It's most DEFINITELY not because of me not being able to make friends.

And to those saying make a static. I would LOVE to, but have no clue how to go about it. PLEASE give tips/suggestions.

Yea that sure as hell helps. I hate leading PTs beecause it's too much of a hassle. There's not a solution. However, being a girl character, pretending to be a girl and leading someone on would be a good thing =P I leeched off around 200k in total when I was a newb doing this. Later I figured bad reputation would screw me over, soooo...I stopped =P

I just completed level up my Drk to 37 too lil-nin. I guess I just got lucky because at level 20 I invited this one NA Ninja into my PT (everyone else JP). And we did really well, all ding to 24 in a few hours. After that is where the cool part is... the NA Ninja was pretty skilled and she formed a lot of group after that and she always invite me in ;D So it's like, all the way from 20 to 37 we're both leading PTs and invite each others in. We both got to 37 in less than 4 days together (33-37 in a day 5 chaining GL bats).

lol basically its all luck of the draw. the sad part is this will continue to 75. i remember one buddy having a war at 74 who had to stop pting after 30 mins cuase he had to do yard work.

i know from past experiences. if a job goes afk or brb more then 3 times. an each time being a good chunk of time. ive told the group " sorry but no exp, is better then this exp". an then i leave. cause having 1hr 30 min of food, an only exping during 40 mins of it always seems like a waste of time.

I never take pt invites for granted, regardless of the pace I get them. I personally HATE it when my non-RDM friends are like "RDM Get invite easy". Thats so unfair. They say that cause from their end of the spectrum, their pts dont start w/o RDMs, so to them, it seems like they cant do shyte w/o us. =O Arrrrrrg, makes me so mad. All PLDs, WHMs and BLMs should be required to make Pinapple Juice before lvl 45, and have at least 4 stacks of each of the materials.

On another note, there are times where I can be lfg for a few hours, and just give up. But, unlike DRKs, who I have true and deep smpathy for, I sometimes get invites when my flag is down and I'm no where near someplace to exp and even if i gimp sub WAR for vorpal when I farm. . .

Oh, and here is my hypothesis on why DRKs among other jobs, get slow invites. DRK are so shafted because everyone thinks NIN is the new IN job, its the latest fad. . . Have you guys heard about it? Anyway, many NINs cannot keep solid hate what with BLMs Bursting lvl IIIs and RNGs doing Sidewinders. In fact, a common setup for pting is NIN THF RNG RDM WHM BLM. RNG THF make distortion and put hate onto Tank, NIN does their thing, and due to the nature of the frontline, the back line only needs to focus on Supporting rather than healing/babysitting.

My THF friend tells me that DRK and THF are mortal enemies since you both end light, so maybe with the influx of bad tanks, requiring THFs. . .

Just a thought. Had to let you know my ramble had a point to it somewhere

DRKS cant pull hate as great as people claim they can. all the drks i usually pt with had to do some sick damage all at once to turn a mob. something like souleater with SA/TA + weaponskill. but then again there was alot of times a drk couldnt pull hate even with all that an a voke. rangers are a harder time to keep hate tru their weaponskills. but taken hate back is all about luck an some skill. blm is another story. most overnuke, so even plds struggle with the blm.

hell im not going to lie. PLD are the best hateholders/ live longer tanks then nin can ever be. yet when there is no true healer a pld cowers, an crumbles, sometimes whines, an refuses to join the pt or leaves. while ninjas dont need a true healer. i cant tell you how many times pld i knew or heard of quit a pt because there was no whm. hell plds hate just having a rdm but not the ninja, we make partys with only a rdm, or smn as main healers work, an not only that, work very well.

most my pt setups were based off of RDM ( almost always main healer), SMN or BRD or BLM ( support roles, blm on the occasions becomes DD), NIN ( tank), RNG, WAR, the last melee was based off of what was available. also We sometimes didnt have a smn or brd, or blm, so we went DD, those pts never had anyone trick onto me. an i managed to hold hate very well.

Great, now you make me want to raise PLD. for the sole reason that a Taru PLD i had was running more MP than the Hume WHM in the pt. Its like, she was leeching, cause of family matters she always went afk. and the PLD was perfet cause he had juice and >.> Potions.

A DRK/WAR on a low IT-VT can quite easily pull hate. I used to do it all the time in the 40's and 50's.

All it took was a Double Attack + two criticals.

DRK/THF will have some trouble... even if they don't TA on someone.

My favorite way to pull hate as DRK/WAR is a double crit with double attack while souleater is on... >.>

That's an an almost instant 600-800 damage done to the mob. (and myself at almost the same time XD)

I was fighting Aura Statues last night as DRK/WAR with a NIN tank and a THF jumping around to SATA on him and I pulled hate with Guillotine many times.

People see DRK/THF for so long and forget how much enmity it can build up. Not to mention that Warwolf belt that adds enmity. :p

heck how many drks sub war after 60? they dont even sub it when the pt already has a thf. an even early on before 60 they dont sub it. they fail to understand the little numbers add up to alot more damage then the 1 big number. dbl atk, atk bonus,berserk, war cry, are way better then S.A/T.A

nothing funnier then a drk, who uses souleater, atks for a critical, guillie, right back into a dbl atk, all with souleater on. = 1 dead drk nomatter if it was a pld tank, a nin tank, an a gm tanks

I'd never thought about this. But if you have Enmity+ on, and SATA, it gives that extra Enmity to the your SATA Buddy?
