Hecatomb vs Adaman set

For those who actually have both sets...

I'm thinking of trying to grab the entire Heca set just for WS switching but, I'd like to know just how much of a difference STR makes, at least compared to the attack on adaman set. Angel skins are fairly expensive on my server and I'm wondering if I should just stick to adaman, but I'm really thinking that STR+ would be better.

Any ideas? Thanks

Exactly what you said, Adaman for attack and change to Hecatomb for WS. Heca has some sweet sweet STR that's just too good to pass up, pretty much every piece exept the gloves and maybe the pants are the best for STR.

Use Adaman Hauberk instead of Hecatomb Harness, the +attack will be better used than having the additional 2more STR than the Adaman Hauberk.

As for other pieces, Heca Cap, Heca Feet are the best to use in those slots for WS. Use Adaman Gear or a substitute when not using Heca for WS.

Using Hecatomb gear for gaining TP and hit for hit dmg is stupid.

Angel skin usually is expensive ;x. Apparently think Seiryu can drop some.. never seen any drop. Other than that, fished up Devil Manta's in Kuftal is the other way to get one.

Stick with Accuracy/Attack for gaining TP and dealing good dmg, flip out the WS gear and have fun on WS.

i should have asked: about how much more damage will a full STR swap produce, compared to adaman?

E. body is pretty hard to come by, N body is not that rare of a drop off kirin. the N abjs you'll want to get crafted are the head and feet, maybe the body if you want. the hands are not all that great if you already have the +9 or +11 STR gloves.

don't have my E. head crafted yet, but i'm thinking about it, +8 attack does seem nice but i'd only use it for XP not HNMs or Gods.

i have full adaman and hecatomb head and feet. I haven't measured to see if i do more dmg with heca, and i dont really notice that much more dmg.

But Hecatomb hat IMO is very much worth it to switch from optical considering optical does like nothing for ur ws.

The Devil Mantas in Sea Serpent Grotto or Terrigan (fished) dont drop? I was just curious.

No says Seiryu is suppose to drop Angel Skin, yet I have never seen it drop.

I've seen suzaku drop Venomous claw but not angel skin from seiryu.


Devil Manta (fished) is how most everyone gets angel skin now.

Seiryu does indeed drop angel skin, though very very very very very rarely. We've only had it drop twice in all of our Seiryu fights.
