    I remember while helping a friend with his WS trial and we were doing Darkness SC and I would MB drain to heal myself and it actualy did up to 350 area.

      My conclusion: drk's have more to worry about that doing minor dmg with mp munching spells. Save your mp for stunning that Jet stream or sickle slash (or whatever uber attack mobs use at your level) and keep mp for draining when things are looking rough, Absorbing str before a SC and so-on.
      Uhm, it will probably help the pt out more if you absorb VIT rather than STR. You might have a slightly lower WS due to losing the STR portion of the secondary mods for CR and SS, but you will have the same STR<->VIT ratio between you and the mob. Not to mention it will help the other melees in your PT both during and after the renkei, meaning more dmg overall.


      MAB: Increases nuke damage by a fixed %
      Skill: Think of this as the same as the skill with your weapons, where it adds to both attack power and accuracy.
      M. Acc: Adds only to your accuracy, decreasing resists.
      Int: Adds to potency. Probably comapred directly with mobs Int in the damage formula.
      Might have a minor impact on accuracy as well.
      No, thouh it makes logical sence, it doesnt work like that, at least for regular nukes. I didnt quite believe it myself at first, so I did a bit of testing on a friend's char, and tier 1-4 singles, tier 1-3 -gas and ancient magic all do the same amount of damage on the same mob if unresisted no matter how much ele skill was added or dropped. I'm still trying to find the difference between magic acc and elemental skill <.>
      Also, if youve played both an elf blm with decent equips, and a taru blm with great equips through lower lvs, you will notice int does reduce resists, at least for regular nukes. It seems to make less of a difference as your lv increases though.

      And yes, at higher levels tier2 nukes dont really do much for MBs. However if you make a darkness renkei, mb drain everytime, well aspir too if you need the mp. Ive seen drks mb drain for over 500 dmg before on exp mobs, so yeah keep that dark magic capped >.> Also macroing stuff in like moldy earring will help on your drain and aspir MBs.
