Cheers everyone, DRK/WAR is back in for levelup PTs endgame. THF's eviceration WS is now the opposite dark element gravity, so cross reaper > eviceration now closes dark skillchains. Aura statues are light element too... so the previously sucky light skillchains are now full-blown dark skillchains? Shouldn't get resisted as often I dun think... D;/// and DRK/WAR arcana killer as the main damager D;////

to answer your first question
no not all drks sub war when there is a thf in the pt some still sub thf and its not pointless

and rdm can use eviceration brd also maybe im not 100% sure to lazy to check the ws skill website =P

Yeah but the compatibility between the 2 jobs sucked so hard that, whenever possible, DRKs just wouldn't PT with THF ;3

I like the sound of this a lot...I but I gotta get WAR 3 more lvl's D:/

I tried on Aura Statue,and.. it blows.. maybe cuz that was aura statue.
Evxxxxxx isnt a good weaponskill, its so random , sometimes 600, sometimes 1000. My DoT is higher, but Cross Reaper is like 400-900 range depends on luck.

How were the dark skillchain resists? Did they resist less because they were dark, or did they still get resisted up the ass because aura statues are gay? ;o

randomness is most likely due to it being a 5 hit WS ;o

600-1000 sounds a lot more relyable than 400-900 for a finisher

hmm.. I don't mind PTing with thf's using drk/thf.. it's easier for me to turn the mob using SATA WS, then the thf will SATA WS back onto the tank to finish a the SC... besides, I hate it when I miss a WS without SA...

And by this lvl, any tank who needs the second melee to voke so they can get tricked on by the thf at start of battle should be shot.

Not just for hate though... the initial hits are like 15% of the THF's cumulative damage output for the entire party >.>

Sorry for the mislead, if talking about average on Evisceration, i would say 750. I said 600-1000 cuz 1000 is the max dmg i saw , and 600 is the least in that party. And you know, I did 850-1000 consistently with Balin on Aura statue before. Not to mention Cross Reaper can miss sometimes or hit for 1 hit 150dmg T_T

Aura Statue is strong against both Light and Darkness, rarely we see full dmg or half, mostly 100 orz.. so the dmg from BLM MB and from both WS in the renkei will be the main dmg. So instead of bursting Thunder 4, BLM gotta burst Blizzard now, and thats a little down in dmg + Thief poo poo dmg in normal hit and their so so WS, its added up i think. I got pretty poor exp in that party even though we all know what to do, and nothing seemed wrong, just the fight took so much longer.

And well this is 2 WS renkei Cross Reaper > Eviceration. I dont know about 3 WS renkei though, might be better.

damn i was hoping that they would be weaker to dark since they drop light crystals ; ;

doesn't make sense how they're not strong vs elements (BLM) normal melee, but are resistant to skillchain damage ;/
