How many of you guys out there are taru taru dark knights? and those that arent taru taru, how many taru taru dark knights do u see?
im thinking about being a dark knight after i get a high level as a black mage.
how do u taru dark knights started off? was it hard for you to get into parties?

I like taru DRKs. They're very cute. I've see a fair number of them around.

Honestly, gear, player skill, and ability to use both greatsword and scythe matter far more to me than race when it comes to finding a DRK for a party. Little things like having fully leveled subs (WAR, adding THF after 60) also help.

I've seen a handful of them on Lakshmi, but not nearly as many Hume DRKs. I seem to find those all over the place.

I partied with a Taru DRK on my way to Lv.30. He was pretty damn good. For the life of me, I can't seem to remember his name right now. But I think he had a high level job before he turned DRK. He had a lot of gil to spend on a full set of HQ gear. Everything he wore was an HQ item.

hm, I wouldnt imagine eating a taru in hard metal AF all spikey O.O Thats why I prefer magetaru, in the nice cloth armor :D

i play taru drk 49drk/25war will be 50 this weekend. this class is roxor for taru. you can and will pull hate from the tank. my opinion is this if your gonna play taru melee: use food chief kabobs dont be cheap, +1 equipment best equipment available, balance ring +1, courage ring+ 1, carry both scythe and great sword keep both leveled. get all of your magic spells just a couple of the very rare and expensive absorb spells ive passed on Dex i believe 400k? get a crossbow keep it skilled up farming. taru will never hit as hard as the other races, but in my experience we hit more often. ive partied with humes and elvann drks. i not only was doing = or more damage thru the 40s i was hitting more often. this often got me examined =) last party i was in lvl 48 with 2 drks other 1 being elvann, he outdamaged me by 10hp per swing but missed by a higher rate. i constantly pulled hate from pld, where he never did. i dont think he used his mp any? of course he had about half the mp i had. if you want to be uber drk of course taru wont be, but who cares i do this because its fun. taru dmg output wont keep up with other races but add in absorb-def abs-str abs-agi and you have a weakened mob that goes down alot quicker. do we may not be the hardest hitting but we can do damage in other ways. we can also let off a mb, drain and aspir. if you want to play taru drk go for it. just be the best you can be or you wont get in as many partys make a name for yourself with good gear and understanding your role in a party. bring food and juices pass them to party members, so theyll remember you. do some taru dances for them during down time. have fun with it.

Yeah, the Iron Musketeer's stuff looks pretty damn sweet at that level, but it makes you look like a PLD. (Honestly, I think PLD AF1 is ugly as hell. I think it should look more like the Iron Musketeer's set.)

I went with Mythril +1. Looks more like something a DRK would wear. Not all pearly white. And the added INT is nice. Though the Iron Musketeer's helmet makes us look like a Demon. I used to walk around in full Elvaan RSE and the Iron Musketeer's helmet in down time. Just looked so sweet. (People used to look at me like "You're Lv.50+ and still wearing RSE?!?!?!!" No you idiot, I'm just walking around looking kewl! I have up-to-date EXP armor! lol)

I've seen a couple of Taru Drk's roaming around my level. IMO, I don't really care what race you are, except you if are a Galkan mage

Couple of my LS mates have had bad run-ins with Taru DRKs who had uber gear but still couldnt do that much damage. Take that how you wish. I'd say just go for it.
