Question for those of you that had the Leaping Lizzy boots and used them on your DRK. Exactly what level did you replace them? And what did you replace them with? I'm currently at level 37 and I have yet to find a decent replacement for them at my current level.

I never used them for my DRK, only for thf and nin. If you need the cash go ahead and sell em and get a new pair of boots, because it's not going to hurt you much at all.

For me, I wish I had them from Lv.30-50. And again at Lv.60-until Thick.
As Elvaan DRK/THF, having the boots and the hairpin would have put me at DEX+19. Would have really helped with Sneak Attack damage, and SA Slice damage as well.
Also having them for leveling THF, RNG, & NIN would have really helped.Odude

Are you sure, because I've noticed a difference. When I got my Life Belt I lost 1 DEX. I noticed a like 10dmg on Sneak Attacks and 20+ on SA Slice.
I guess it's possible it was my poor luck, but I was told DEX made a difference, and I was convinced I'd seen it.Odude

Personally, I think Leaping Boots are overrated for a Drk. At lower levels when there really isn't much else to get, then yeah they help somewhat I suppose. But at 40+ when you can get sniper rings, they really don't do all that much for your accuracy (which I assume is why you would be wearing them in the first place).

at the current stage dex only modifies SA damage for THF main, and agi for THF main TA.

Well, I know what you mean. When you transition to a higher level, fresh XP area where mobs are IT++, you are nowhere near as accurate as you are against the barely IT mobs, and you can count on frequent misses.
Also high evasion mobs are in the same ballpark. Having a BRD in a new XP area with IT++ mobs helps tremendously.

In Quicksand Caves I went from hitting for 45 at Lv.49 to 75 at Lv.50. Partying in the Western Desert at Lv.45 was like that as well. We had a Lv.46 SAM who was talking about how they'd always outdamaged DRKs and DRGs in EXP parties. I told them I wouldn't be one of those DRKs.
1st two hours of our party, the SAM and I's average damage was identical. I was starting to feel bad, and pissed to see myself outdamaged for the 1st time. Once I hit Lv.46 I put them to shame. My damage went from 45-50dmg to 75-95dmg, and of course their WS damage wasn't even close to mine.Odude
