Dark Knight Quest

I have a question about the quest, i have been killling rabbits outside of Sandoira with the Chaosbringer, and i think ive hit over 100, however Zeid has not appeared , also, i tried to take a shortcut and pretty much only use Ranged Weapons, its alot faster, and i still have the Chaosbringer equipped. Does this work or no? what should i do?

Nope, your shortcut just made it take a lot longer.

Each kill of the 100 kills has to be done with a NORMAL swing of Chaosbringer.

Weaponskill kills don't count, any weapon other then Chaosbringer, including any form of magic or ranged does not count.

What I did was subbed BLM to my WAR, poisoned a bunch of stuff until I had a train going, then turned around and one-hit them one by one. If you immediately switch targets to the next one, the weapon delay gets reset and you get the kills in fast.

Anything that also does a suicide move and dies from that, like Bees "Final Sting" or a Goblin Bomb Toss that kills themselves doesn't count for the kills either.

You can zone/log/whatever as many times as you want, the sword basically has a counter on it on how many killing blows it has that aren't weaponskills.

ive been doing straight kills with Chaosbringer for 1300 exp straight. Ive been getting 12 exp a kill, if math done correctly, i should have gotten 100 kills already

12x100=1200

but im in ronufare and Zeid still has not appeared what do i do

You are going to Bedeaux right? That's where you have to go to have Zeid appear..

If you are going to Bedeaux and he is not appearing, I'd say keep doing straight kills until he does..

I had to try this quest 3 times before I got it to trigger. I was just outside bastoke. Killing worms, bats and bees. I counted to what I thought was 100, went to Beadeux and no sceen. I didnt know how it was supposed to trigger I thought I had to find him in there. -.-

I got pissed, and got the ninja job instead, stoped when I hit 12 cause I saw that it costed 120,000 gil for the utsemi scroll. So I tried my last time yesterday and finally got the drk job. Haveing run from bastoke to Bedeaux with my lv 13 war, cause I wasnt sure if I needed to have it equpid. I wish they would have been more clear on this job..

Does not need to be equipped, just needs to be in inventory..

And yeah, it's a pain, that's why I read about it before doing it
