2 WS quests at the same time?

Problem with quest WS
so I've gotten the scythe of Trials and still waiting for the stupid latent effect to go away. Anyways, I tried to get the GS WS quest from Gumbah, but he won't give it to me... my GS skill is 253 atm. When I talked to him, he gave me a shortcut scene about the telekeeper (I'm bastok rank 9 and have mission 9-1 atm). I tried zoning and talking to gumbah again, but all he says is that "Werei was the oldest Galka around here, blah blah blah".

So I dunno what's up. Can you not have 2 WS Quests at the same time? or is my 9-1 mission screwing the WS quest up?

mind you im no where close to questing for spiral hell lol but it might be that you still have the effect from your scythe of trials still in effect.. try waiting untill that wears off then try again.. or just go finnish off the scythe ws quest then go back and talk to the kid. i dont think that the 9-1 mission would effect the quest.

Can't have 2 WS quests at a time, it's a common worry.

Complete Spiral Hell then return to Gumbah for Ground Strike quest initiation.

orz.. thanks Sorath... this Scythe of Trials is driving me crazy... I've used it in xp PTs closing lvl3 SCs with cross reaper, skillup PTs doing lvl2 SCs and solo WS it.. I must have used over 300 WS's in total and the stupid latent effect is still there.... I'm starting to either wonder if my scythe is broken, or these quest WS's are along the lines of the DRK flag quest.. ie. no zoning, loging, etc before the count is done... Some members of my LS is also suggested that you have to close the SC to have it count for the extra lvl1, 2, 3 SC bonus points... so I dunno.. *sigh*

I'm pretty sure it's not, considering the DRK flag quest doesn't require no zoning, no logging, etc. You can zone and log, juyst as long as you get final 100 kills with a normal sword strike.. not WS, magic, etc.

you can dequip the sword log out and stuff, just dont decline the quest after you have unlocked the scythe *poke awn*

Just out of curiosity...you're watching for the actual effect to disappear and not the text itself on the scythe right?

yeah the description does not change, but the latents will stop being in effect.

When you see the hp bonus NOT take effect, and you don't get the +10 to 2 elemental resistances when you equip the scythe of trials, you're good to go.

DON'T follow in my footsteps, and expect the actual TEXT on the description to disappear.
