DRK Weapon Question

How much TP does a hit with a Scythe gain? Not a pooper Zaghnal, a REAL 513-528 delay Scythe (Cruel Scythe for example).

Also, I have Braveheart and a Cruel Scythe at lvl 20, I was wondering which one is better from 20-30.

A swing from scythe gives 12/13% TP back. It is best to use both and cap both weapons. Once you cap both weapons, which should be within the first 2k of exp, go with whatever you like to use more. I sure wish I leveled my gsd, now its 10 levels behind

Yes i highly recomend leveling both. I got PLed from level 21 to 28 and didn't once equip GS.

I have both maxed from my WAR leveling, didn't ask about what to cap.

I belive it is 12.5% per hit with scythe. Greatswords differ because there is no real selection of drk only greatswords, so you just take whatever you can get.

And yes, cap both. Many, many drk (like me) regret not keeping both up to date.

since you have both capped, generally scythe is more base damage, and that tends to outweigh the minor delay differences. the gap between scythe and GS damage is noticeable at 20 (cruel scythe vs two-handed sword) from what i remember, and only gets worse as levels go on. if you have a thf in the party, you may end up having to use GS for power slash, despite it being a weaker weapon. after 54, GS starts to catch back up w/ darksteel claymore, at least until vassago's. i'd say just use whatever the PT needs. for braveheart vs. cruel scythe, it depends on what you're fighting and if you have a brd in the party. if you can get madrigal, or if you aren't fighting something with insanely high evasion, definitely go with cruel scythe.
