...today the last friend I had my lvl got a spt, she was my only hope of getting parties...every mage and tank is taken for static parties, 90% of people in the 40's have them...the few groups we can make are very bad because of the lack of people...I feel like quitting...

all you really need to do is find 1 whm, bard, or rdm friend your level, and have him put in his search "Set with same level DRK" and you're all set :p

Yea both me and 2 other people in our static know some romanji. Of course me knowing the least ; ;.. just stare and /huh

But if you do look around, there still are quite a few players not in static. Why? because of time constraints and because some actually lvl faster than others (Play more..) and dont want to be bogged down by NOT lvling for someone else.

Getting in JP parties is well another thing, from what I've seen so far, there are few that will party with NA (English) players. However if you know just a tiny bit of romanji even added with a few translator words it can be worked out... sometimes.

Of course sometimes not even romanji is enough, typing romanji basically says you speak english mainly. And sometimes that's not enough.

Heh I remember getting asked to PT by a JP player, I replied Hai, and got turned down. "No english no PT" .

Yeah sometime it happen but don't worry i think later on once every NA european player will be high enough with their advanced it will get better.

i know every server isn't the same, but it's usually close enough i would say.. try to play around high traffic times maybe. besides my last pt, i pted with several JP pts. do you flag JE, and make a search comment? i flag it and have a search comment with the tab translator. it works pretty well. if you know your role in the pt, you can usually know what to do without asking or understanding. and from your posts, i can assume you know what you are doing. the little japanese i know doesn't help that much, esp when everyone starts going kanji crazy :sweat: but it's all good. if you know what to do, they will like you and trust you. after my last pt, the leader wrote "I HAD A GOOD TIME WITH U!" lol, it was funny, because the pt thought i would suck shit. ^^

im having a really hard time getting groups at 37 even.

JP parties almost WILL NOT take your, or WILL NOT join you. Its really annoying. I would like to have a static party too, but i cant seem to find any americans that would want to wait around for others to level.

What annoys me, but its true, is that american players are usually alot worse than JP players. They run around w/ shitty gear, dont eat food, and have either bad subjobs, or subjobs that are like 5-10 levels out of date (and, gasp, people like this usually arent very good players). Its no surprise that these yahoo's give the rest of the english players a bad name.

i don't know about you... but i'm wearing the best gear i can at my lvl. besides those overpriced rings, and NM gear. most of the people around my lvl that are NA that i pt with, usually have good gear or better stuff than i do. btw, for the past 3 days i couldn't get into a pt.. i think its because i've been waking up at like 8 in the morning to play TT. well i got into a pt yesterday, but that was during high traffic hours. so i wasn't counting that.

Its not hard for DRk to get a pt, well atleast if u are not a big asshole that everyone knows of and feared of.....u shout do fine, sometime there really is not suitable parties around to get u (and if u are in qufim at lvl 19-26) u are likely to meet with this new guys who dont' know what exactly DRK can do, also at such an early stage, the presence or absence of a drk is not really that much a differece to a pt, so hanging there! once u pass the early lvls u will do fine

Iromrs, its not the low levels people are complaining about, where no body knows what they're doing. Its the higher levels where people are having problems finding groups. Partys dont cycle through people like they do in dunes/qufim. There are just not many spots in partys that are available if your trying to get random invites.

I feel your guys' pain. I've been stuck for a while now, and i feel like i'm about to fall behind all the people i know if this continues much longer.

As for the equipment thing, it seems like all the melees are practically spitting images of eachother. Two people the same level/class have like 1-5 pieces of gear difference between them. I've only seen the range of good to bad gear on the mages, and who cares what mages wear, they can always get groups regardless.

40+ is a bitch right now for me. Only 2 people from my LS want to start a static PT. I started levelling another Job and Guilding just to put up with the long times waiting for a PT. It sucks.. I'm considering going Bard or BLM in order to get more PT invites..

the rest of your life as a dark knight will be a hard point....unless you somehow define yourself as the most skilled dark knight on your server at your level =_=; .......its uber hard to get grp as a dark knight these days ='( .........+45-60 is the hardest part because DRGS have their pentathrust and we have nothing =(
