how exactly are you keeping both weapons maxed?

I know my party is quite gimped (whm,blm,drk,rng,mnk,pld), but we still fight incred tough monsters, and I cannot max both of my weapon skills before I level :confused: I usually end up maxing one, then level up so its not capped again. It's really making me angry... great sword seems to level up at a medium speed, but scythe is so slow. Do you guys have haste on 100% of the time or something? I'm level 45 and would love to have both skills maxed each level. Any suggestions? I've been fighting crawlers and hornflies in the crawlers nest.

edit: anyone have a link to a site that tells the skillcaps for levels? My GS is 135 and scythe is 134 at level 45... I know its far from capped but i'm trying to keep them equal to eachother (is this a good choice?). I'd love to know when they cap at each level.

im using greatsword right now.. it seems to lvl about the same with scythe. maybe you think it lvls slower because of the delay? well.. later ingames you can go on skillup parties and lvl up greatsword. for now you should stick to scythes and max it because it does more damage and go on skill up parties with greatsword.

i'm pretty sure that you'll miss alot more if your weapon skills not maxed.. thus harder to hit mobs with your weapon, thus harder to lvl your weapon skill.

when in pt i use scythe more 132 and gs 103 i just go kill stuff that gives small exp to raise ws on.

In your 50s you're going to be doing a lot of key hunts for AF coffers where you'll be needing a large group or higher level help to kill monsters that are much stronger than you for the key; this is a perfect opportunity to skill up your weapons.
