i am thinking either i should go for DRK/SAM or DRK/WAR?

Well, if you had war at 30 then did Drk quest, shouldn't be too bad for you.
Drk/war is a great sub, most other subs aren't as useful until lvl60 Drk.Full Cursed= O

The standard sub for a DRK until 60 is WAR. After that you can sub SAM or THF for better results. This is what all people suggest. However if you want to experiment, you can sub other jobs. RDM or THF is not a bad sub at low levels. But if you have a 30 WAR, just stick to WAR unless you want to do extra work leveling some other job.

Go sam.
With SAM you will get tons of ws and your stats will be good. SAM is best after level 60 though, since what this subjob does is fully take advantage of guilliotine. If you want to know more about the subject, I recommend reading previous threads. There is one that I posted long ago, you can get most of the pros and cons of DRK/SAM

Best damage dealer with guilliotine.
