Dark Knight Help Plz

Ok i finnaly made my decsion and i have decied to become a Dark Knight (either Elvaan or Hume), and now my first question, what sub job should i be (i am going to have a party of a paladin, ninja, and samurai) i read on gamefaqs.com and it said either thief, samurai, or warrior, plz help. Now my second question what website do i find AF armor.

Oh and another question I have is, on those 30 boring lvl's before becoming a DRK what job/sub job should i be. It seems the main ones mentioned are WAR and THF, whats the THf for dex? or is it there abilities?

I would recommend DRK/SAM becuase it is the best attacker after level 60, It will be able to make up to 5 guilliotines in a row. Read previous threads if you want to know more about this combination, there is one where I have a argument with Tokitoki where you might find most of the pros and cons.

to answer your third question begin as a Warrior, since you need it to become a DRK, and thf or mnk as your subjob. Thief gives more dexterity and its main ability is yokodama. With yokodama you will be able to inflict damage without getting any hate. having SAM as your subjob will give you the ability to charge and manage TP better making it able to throw various guilliotines.

I don't know where you're getting this 5 in a row stuff

even SAM main needs to use it's 2h to be able to do 5 pentas in a row... as a sub SAM will only let you do 2 guillos in a row every 3 minutes, and there's still a few second delay for the TP to charge up :sweat:

i can´t argue with you since you have played the game far more than me, i am currently a DRK/WAR level 32/18. I am talking about when you have your bar fully charged at 350tp and that is when. Correct me if I am wrong.

TP max is 300, maybe more for SAM, I don't know. doesn't make a difference.

one WS and it's all gone. the exception is with samurai's 2 hour ability, it uses WS's in increments of 100TP. Only works with samurai main 2h. That's once every 2 hours.

What we have subbing it is an ability that gains us 60TP once every 3 minutes. Guillotine returns around 50 (little more with sub sam... won't be more than 60 though) if all 4 swings hit.

With war sub its possible to get 100% TP return if you got 2x slash on every hit of Guillotine. I actually got this once.

you mean Double attack on each swing of guillotine??!

I never knew you could get double attack on a WS. But if you can, then you got so very lucky

What would happen if you got double attack on all 4 swings of guillotine? Would this be the first time someone saw the acclaimed 9999 damage? I think I dream too much.:p
