  • Gil farming methods

Ive talked to alot of DRKS among other jobs about what they do to earn there gil. Most say crystal farming others say fishing. Just wanted to know some of your methods to earning some cash. post here pleeaassee. Im sure im not the only one who wants to know. Sense this game doesnt isnt really like most. Kill big monsters get alot of gil. Even at lv 25 most mobs are still dropping....nothing.

at lower lvls, like 30, take on the rank 3 orcs. You'll rape them for 30-40 gil a drop

before high 50s i would kill quadavs in palborough. after like lv55, 10th floor of delkfuts is a good place to go. drk can do quite nicely there, using absorption magics on elementals when they spawn, usually never has to sit down.

I dont understand this.. absorb-what? and how does this effect killing elementals.. or magic pots as awntawn said.

well 10th floor delkfuts contains 3 types of monsters: Giants (the most numerous, and drop gil - this is how you make your raw profits), Machina (magic pots, drop magic pot pieces 600gil and distilled water 300gil) and on certain occasions, Elementals (drop up to 3 element clusters worth around 1000-1200gil). In reference to your question, drk's 2 spells, aspir and drain, can suck hp and mp from the enemy. You can suck HP from pretty much anything, but only MP from magical enemies. So you can run around killing all the giants, then when your low on MP you kill some Magic pots and suck MP from them, and when elementals spawn, they are highly suseptible to drain and aspir, so its like resting your hp/mp when you fight them + using guillotine will silence them so they can't do crap to you.

edit : its also notable that the common elmentals that spawn are the thunder series, but if your lucky, it could be light elementals that spawn, their element clusters are the rarest of all, and range from 5000-7000gil apeice.

sounds cool, guess I'll pick up an Aspir eventually (when I used it in beta it sucked big )

10th floor? guess you need a map too, but god that'd be a pain to get up to either way...(never did M9 but I know that tower is big from a Mimas huntin pt)

yea it used to be a bitch to go all the way up there. but in the last version up they made the elevator accessible from the 1st floor so as long as you have a delkfut's key you can go straight to the top.

nah its not a key item. i think if you did m9 you remember u gotta kill that ranger Giant nm at 10th floor and it drops keys for the elevator. just hold on to your key or if you disguarded it just fight him again and keep the key, so you use that to go to the top.
