If you guys would have read Tazarai's Time Mage thread, she did the exact same thing for Time Mage that she did for Blue Mage. The only difference is in the Time Mage thread she stated she was just being creative and it does not actually exist. I honestly think she just forgot to say that in this thread and she did not even intend for this to be a prank or to fool people LOL. She sure did a good job fooling people though :p

Sorry, there is no Time Mage or Blue Mage... at least they have not discovered yet... hehe

i think im gonna start puttign disclaimersin these posts these are not actual in game classes yet
I just like to be challeneged and decided to come up with a good quest for blue mage and time mage .
They are just ideas right now square -enix may add them later .. this is just my take on them and what i would to see.

Hey now! Wait just a gosh darn minute! Ok, Quina (or whatever his name was) and Strago did kind of suck... but Kimahri ruled! He was one of my all time favorite FF characters. And, yes he was a blue mage. Granted he sucked the spells from enemies instead of having them used on him but he still obtained his enemies' abilities to use as his own.

Don't diss Kimahri man! Or I'll have to cut your horn off! LOL

I did the same thing for FFT with a Commander job. I imagined all the abilities/stats they would have and evertying. But I didn't post it on a forum...

I think a Chocobo Knight would be awesome. It sounds cool and stuff. My Commander job idea including him riding a chocobo for increased effects

Too bad. I was longing for 1,000 Needles and White Wind.

And if you think Blue Mages suck, then you just don't know how to use them. Blue Magic is so strong it's just cheap. Missile, Mighty Guard, White Wind, L.5 Death, Condemn, Death Claw, Magic Hammer, Bad Breath, L.3 Flare. All of these can be used VERY effectively.

The only spell you listed that I ever found usefull was mighty guard, and I only got it in VII because I was to lazy to level up barrier materia or whatever it's name was. On every other spell I just used stronger magic, or I attacked. I've heard how Magic hammer makes the Ozma fight super easy in FFIX but I never tried it, so I guess there is use to it.


And I didn't use Kimahri mainly because of his overdrive, I could do so much more damage with Wakka and Tidus, there just wasn't a point. If he had a physical attacking overdrive then I might have used him, but doubtedly because of Wakka's overdrive, pure power.

Or maybe Sorcerer (aka MagicKnight, a la FF5) ... it would seem like Red Mage already has it covered, but Sorcerers cast spells to their weapons, not just element enchants. It could be cool ...

Several reasons why Blue Mages certainly does NOT suck: Mighty/Big Guard (the No.1 best spell in many games); level-specific magics (i.e. Lv5 Death, Lv? Pearl); 1000 Needles (at lower levels); Auto-Life; Self-Destruct/Exploder; a host of potent elemental spells (AquaRake, Flamethrower/Fire Breath, the Aero series on some games); Frog Drop (FF9 only) and Degenerator (FF8 only); MindBlast (or whatever magic lowers the enemy's level); WhiteWind ... a Blue Mage with a full complement of spells is deadly. Well I must say that I didnt think Quina were that bad.

She had the lvl 5 death which killed those badass green dragon in one attack always making HUGE exp.
That was wounderful.

And Kimahri had the absolute greatest and coolest Spell of all Final Fantasy I must say.
And yes I think even cooler than Summons.

The Nova attack, or Armageddon as it also were called.

I equipped thripple overdrive and damage break.
Then I were at the Calm Lands and killed groups of 3-4enemies with it which recharged the overdrive meter without having to kill anything else.
Then I did this spell over and over again cuz It's so beautiful...


And yeah one more thing...

Bwahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahah you relly thought there were a Blue Mage in the game and noone would know about it!

Great work with the blue mage! I wonder what Blue Mage AF would look like? Also the coolest thing about blue mages is that REGARDLESS of ones level they will always possess a multitude of different skills because you have no clue what abilities they may have available. Actually if Blue Mage ever does become available I can guarentee that my character will be a blue mage/ super masochist. Running in front of people to take the blow just to learn the magic. YYYEEESS! Make life hell for the white mage in the party :p I think it'd just be tons of fun playing a character where nobody in my group could predict what i was going to do next. Also, what would the blue mage's 2 hour ability be? In addition, how would you work blue mage being a sub job? Since the blue mage spells are learned by being hit by the magic how can you determin which ones will be available to you as a sub? Unless all of your magics are toned down with a blue mage sub maybe? Anyway, great post! Very entertaining.

Actually alot of people have been asking about a mime class. To me a mime doesn't sound do-able because by mimicking another player you could do some serious hurt without even having to learn the lv 54 ability or whatever it is that they have. what you could do and I know that this may sound stupid to a lot of people but you could possibly merge both miming and blue mage into one job where you're pretty much a mime that's really a blue mage. Since you're a mime you're mimicking the enemies' attacks. Just a thought. I don't know. Have fun and run with it.
