Looks like a very nice option for the people who are not using the unofficial windower to make full equipment swaps.

Also means now I have no excuse for not doing a full equipment swap

Always read your update notes.

One use is to loop one single key combo into several macros. For example, having the last line of Alt-1 change to set 1, set 2, set 3, back to set 1, so that you get more lines of macro action on one key.

What I use it for on most jobs so far is setting up a macro navigation system. For example, on WHM, Alt-0 on every set changes to set 10. On set 10, the Ctrl group is all gear swaps, and Alt-1 to Alt-0 change to the respective macro set. So to get to status cures, I press Alt-0, Alt-2. To get to debuffs, Alt-0, Alt-4.

Yeah, I'm sorta planning something similar, but much more simple and lower key than that.

I've been using it for PLD since it was implemented. I have a macro set dedicated to WS, another dedicated to my /RDM buffs, another dedicated to /RDM barspells, and I switch back and forth from my main set as needed.

The commands were added at the same time that we were given 20 macro books.

That's a very good idea that I wouldn't have thought of, I'll have to check into how to do that.

The macros shouldn't be that complex, but I'll be building it across several sets and I'll design it so that even if I'm in one set working on getting my multihit spell build together, I can change to something else rapidly, so yeah, I think that alot of work is gonna go into this. I'll know more once I've actually had some time to play around with this some to see how it actually works.

I am also VERY thankful that I'm only going to really play Blu and Drg and not have to worry about doing this for multiple jobs. Just two jobs with a multitude of roles to cover.

I've considered upping the complexity of some of my macro sets, but there are a few jobs I am hesitant to consider. Like Whm, if I should happen to find myself on an incorrect macro set at a critical time I would be very embarassed. Which might lead to me being the reason the tank dies, or the whole party for that matter. Then again I haven't commited to even making sets for my War, so I guess you could say I fear what I currently don't fully understand (have not tested).

I have several characters and I made IMMACULATE macros (because I'm anal) for all jobs on every character. It took me DAYS and many hours each day. To give you an idea, I do not do them in game at first. I sit with a notebook, log in, write down all spells/abilites/ws's/etc I have for that particular job and then log out and plan my macros. I get them down on paper, perfectly done, and then I go into game and retype all of them in game macros. Then I go over them with each job and make sure the placement is convienent and shuffle them around until they are perfect. So many hours and DAYS later, I have the perfect macro set..............and then my hard drive crashes. I had already thrown away the papers I used to plan them out too. Of course, my a-hole son hears me ranting and comes in my room and says "Did you save them to the server?" He nearly didn't make it to his 26th birthday.....

Thanks for posting that one, Omni. I had endeavored to make a similar macro set on my own - very similar, actually - but after testing mine, I found it rather cumbersome. I'm going to use this one for my revison... even though it will be a behemoth to redo.
