MP Drainkiss Magic Burst Macro?

Hi!

I've been trying to Magic Burst MP Drainkiss with Gravitation (Red Lotus Blade >> Sickle Slash) but I can never pull it off. I've been doing it manually, thinking my timing would be better than a macro that goes by seconds, but hah, haven't pulled it off. Can anyone tell me what the macro for it should look like?


So far I have:

Will that work?


EDIT: Just tried this in my first Colibri party. Would not MB, and having a "/wait 3" before the casting of "MP Drainkiss" resulted in "Unable to cast spells at this time."

use <bt> instead of simple<t> and clear all the /wait line, it may help you to control the pace manually

Yes, I meant <bt>, and what do you mean clear the /wait lines? Like, keep it all in one macro or make separate macros? Because that's what I've been doing, and I still can't do it.

That macro only worked for me sometimes, so I eventually resorted to doing it manually since for some reason you can manually activate another macro to use MP Drainkiss before the wait command will execute it in that macro.

<bt> won't help control the timing at all, since anything with <bt> fires immediately, just like <t>. <st> or <stnpc> might help with the timing, since you'd get a blue target-selection arrow to confirm the WS, then each spell, in turn.

I had an easier time doing it manually. In one macro I'd have:

Red Lotus Blade
/wait 4
Sickle Slash

and then use the spell I wanted to mb with in another macro so I could just spam it near the end of the casting time of Sickle Slash. MP Drainkiss has a really long casting time and your window for mbing is short. If you're not doing so already, make sure you have a haste effect up before you start. It makes it easier to pull off.

Thanks for all the responses. My macro pallet is already crowded as it is, but I think I can find space for one more.

Out of curiosity on my part, would /wait 3.5 work?

I specifically tried that and apparently /wait that aren't whole numbers don't work. I just cast the spell as soon as I see the skillchain animation begin and it works without a problem. Better since I gear swap for my BLU spells now anyway.

When I switched my spellcasting macros from /wait 1 to /wait .5, the difference was as night and day. (I also note similar effects with my ranged attack macro, whatever that's worth.) If /wait 3.5 doesn't work, maybe /wait 3, followed by /wait .5?

I'll try it next time I hop on BLU, which will be either later today for farming or tonight for xping, the 2 wait lines that is.
