It was quite a while since I quit the game, but with a lot happening the last year or so I am seriuosly thinking about coming back. Before news of WoTG was released I was sure of going BLU, but with the possibility of Time mage and some other interesting jobs I will have to think about it.
After hearing about the new job Scholar and reading what little info there is about this job I started thinking about what it could do as a sj for BLU. Of course one will have to wait and see what scholar is really about, but as a taru I see some real possibilities of making use of /scholar to improve the currently lackluster magical damage spells.
Since I haven't tried BLU myself I might be wrong, but from what I gather physical spells is what it is all about for BLUs endgame for a few reasons, but mainly that the magical spells are way too ineffective to use compared to the physical ones. WIth /scholar it seems it might be possible to make it more effective to cast spells by reducing mp cost and increasing damage etc. Not sure if scholar will have mp, but I assume so since they seems to be able to cast black and white magic.
I don't know, like I said I haven't tried BLU myself and this was what I could think of why /scholar could be really interesting and useful for BLU. What do you guys think?
