  • About Soloing BLU spells

I have a lvl 62 Blue mage and I solo all the blue spells below 65 except Body Slam and Valconus Trunk(sp?) Are there any blue spells that are next to impossible to solo? I say next to impossible because I was able to solo Radiant Breath when everyone said it couldnt be soloed 1/5.

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right, but you say you've soloed all level 65 and below spells aside from Voracious Trunk and Body Slam? Radiant Breath I can see being soloed, but some others seem pretty impossible to me. Memento Mori I could maybe see you having soloed if you were higher level, but even at 62, Corses would be way too hard to solo, I would think... Spinal Cleave I suppose you could've gotten in Besieged, with a lot of luck. Frenetic Rip also seems pretty impossible to solo, considering it seems pretty impossible to break an Imp's horn solo. I've heard reports of it being broken from the front instead of the side or back though, so I suppose it's not impossible (just extremely friggin' rare, considering how hard it has always been for me to break it even from behind or to the side).

As far as future spells... Zephyr Mantle would probably be pretty hard, but I'd figure most BLUs these days get it while exp'ing on Puks around level 60-ish (I was already level 66 or so when it was released). Frost Breath would be pretty hard to solo until 70+, considering only the raptors in Uleguerand Range use it, and they are level 68-70 (the spell is level 66, so even at that level, the raptors are T-VT). Sandspray would be another hard one; it is also level 66, and the lowest level Qiqirns are 67-69. They are also THF and RNG types, which are hard to solo (RNGs being hard to blink tank because ranged attacks take down shadows no matter what, and THFs just being so damn evasive, not to mention Triple Attack for taking down shadows fast). Mind Blast is just plain impossible to solo, at any level. Really... almost all of the post-65 spells are hard to solo. A large number of them can be learned in Besieged, though, if you have the patience for that (the troll, lamia, mamool ja, flan, wamouracama, poroggo, and wamoura moves). The sea ones would be pretty hard to solo (aside from maybe Temporal Shift, since hpemdes are pretty easy), though maybe not completely impossible. Ram Charge, Lowing, and Heat Breath are all easily soloable, of course.

      Re: About Soloing BLU spells

Memento Mori I did solo with my NPC Fierce Attacker(I have him capped with GS) and I was 1/1 on it. Mob wise, I was 1/18 and it took about 1 week. I didnt worry about links because I would wait until 3:50 to pull (learned that trick after the 8th one when I had to fight a corse and a skeleton...was saved because of the charm ability they have). Combat was a spam fest of head butt -> smite of rage -> head butt -> bludgeon -> head butt -> smite of rage -> etc. Grape juice (Had a large supply due to my beverage barrel) to keep the spam going until the corse was dead. The only problem I had was their charm ability. Once I was charmed, my NPC would instantly die and the corse would despawn. Frenetic Rip (1/38) I solo'd on the ship between Whitegate and Nashmuru(SP?) using Vorpal Blade (sword is capped) and hoping for a crit. I broke it twice using CA Sickle Slash with 200 tp. You were right about Spinal Cleave tho, it was a in besiege and I didnt know I got it until 2 hours later.

I heard you can get spells from assaults so couldnt I get Sandspray from Qiqirns in the assault where you have to destory all the walls? I was thinking to do it cap 60 and spamming foot kick and that beetle spell that gives +1 mind (Cant look anything up because I am at work) to get pass the first wall.
