Considering what slot that's in, it's pretty damn good. If you're concerned about the negative stats, you can always do a gear swap for a specific spell, but for the most part I wouldn't worry about it.

Buy it. Useful for many jobs. Melee jobs can take advantage of it. PLD will benefit from the massive HP bonus. DRK can benefit with that and Souleater. It's greatly useful for me when soloing as DRG.

what do you guys say for pixie? i can use the pixie earring that i use for THF. will it make the cut? Pixie and Brutal or Pixie and Luq (or other MP earring). wha td o you think?

I'd go with either Accuracy, STR or MP on the earring in that order if applicable if you're dealing with physical spells.
