    Re: ..."fails to take effect"...

Normally the worst you can get is a 90% resist, I think.

That's still pretty bad if you spent MP or TP to use that attack, though...

There's no such thing as a "critical" damage from magic, I think; you can get no resist (i.e. full damage), or partial resist (i.e. smaller damage), or full resist (i.e. no damage).

      Probably.
What you all have said is true...i ended up saying "crit" because getting non-resisted casts in doesn't happen all the time, thus it looks the same to me as getting a critical strike in. I blame my use of the word "crit" on my being forced to play World of Warcraft for 2-3 weeks with no FFXI available ; ; Me so sowwy. I can't wait to get back to FFXI and start leveling BLU and SMN again!

But yea, i have Feather Storm, and

Feather Storm was a big step forward for me. Congrats.

Just dinged 18 this morning so I haven't been able to play with Bludgeon extensively yet.

To put this to rest--I'm a lvl 15 BLU with a capped sword skill(BLU magic skil=46). I have noticed i get a "fail to activate" about 2-5% of the time. From what I can see, it is tied to the weapon skill and type of spell vs. type of mob.

Lastly, I've been taking out T+ mobs by spamming "power attack", "foot kick", and "sprout smack" with good success(go after the non-mage T's though)

PS:how can u say "foot kick" is a bad spell--you get to kick the mob in the a@@--lol
u have to know when to hold them, know when to fold them
