Help With BLU

Hey guys,

I know this thread is proble gonna be a repeat thread or already has been talked about but i havnt found one yet so here it goes.

Im having problems tanking with blu. People in my ls say that even at my lvl i should have no problem fighting EM-VT. (34blu/17war) But i seem to get my butt handed to me all the time. I have Almost all of the spells but i do have all the important ones. I also em very watchful about what mobs we camp and use spells that i know are strong against them. This is my first war class job lvl above lvl 30. I used to have a 45 whm back in my last account. Any help or ideas to make me a better blu tank or even a better DD would be nice.

If you're soloing, you probably want to sub Ninja for Utsusemi. That way, when you use Head Butt, you get a couple seconds head start on your shadow recast. It's that combination Head Butt > Utsusemi that makes solo BLU able to do higher level mobs. If you just can't get it to stun, you can also do this:

1. Unlock
2. Turn away
3. Pinecone Bomb/Soporific/Sheep Song/Blast Bomb.
4. Move back
5. Utsusemi

Remember that your healing isn't that great unless you've got the new Wild Carrot spell (get it from hares in Bibiki or Uleguerand) and your MP is precious. The Blast Bomb's Bind effect appears to be less effective than the spell, so I'd recommend using a sleepga. You might want to choose two Sleeps because they have long recast.

For the most part i do use NIN when soloing. I m also having a problem with tanking in party i dont know if it just that people expect more out of me or if they just pt with better blu tanks or..... i suck at tanking.
