You don't have to do any of the CoP missions to get blue magic in the 40-60 range, but you'll be forced to learn Frightful Roar and Radiant Breath from level 70ish mobs. To learn them from Taurus in Sacrarium and Wyverns at Riverne - Site #B01, you'll need to complete up to mission 4-3 and 4-2 respectively.

To get access there (site #A) you need to have defeated Minotaur and unlocked 2-5 (Mammet Battle) through some cutscenes.Keep in mind, sig might be outdated I just update it a few times per week.
Signature with the usual levels and obtained stuff etc. . .814 Total levels and counting.. . . . .

Yes. Jettatura is from Hippogryphs in Riverna Site #A01 and #B01 only, and it's the only way to learn it.
Theoretically you can learn Awful Eye (Bugard) and Refueling (Cluster) in Besieged, so long as you catch the right beastmen attacking at the right time.
And of course you need to be into chapter 8 of CoP to learn any of the 72+ spells from the Lumorians.

Well, select only useful spells to learn. You don't have to get them all. Even if you have all the spells, you will find that 80% of your spells are rarely used or might not even get setup. From 40ish-60, I recommend you to get only these spells and you're good enough to play.
- Any spells that give refresh points, kinda 4-5 of them.
- Mandibular Bite (44)
- Sickle Slash (48)
- Refueling (48)
- Magic Fruit (58)
- Death Scissor (60)
- Dimensional Death (60)

Our unique strength lies in our flexibility to take different roles in a party. Perhaps you could argue that a few spells aren't used much, but to say only the above spells are needed from 40-60 just makes me cringe. Blu's like that are the reason my parties are so surprised when I turn out to be actually useful in exp.

Different roles are mostly depending on your subjobs AND equipments/gears, not the extra never-to-get-set spells. /WHM to be a healer /WAR to be a tanker and /THF or /NIN to be a DD.
If you don't want some shitty spells, you can skip them. No one will ever force you to cast Mysterious Light or Pinecone Bomb to make them surprise.
As for CoP, it's good to do but it's not required to do until you need to learn a lot of Lumorian spells later on.Last edited by eva00r; 10-31-2006, 11:47 PM.
