Unable to activate AF1 >:\

The first time I tried to get it, I had the corsair flag quest active. When talking to Waoud, a CS came up with Raubahn that had my character kneeling in front of him and him asking if I was seeking greater power or something. I thought it must be the AF1 quest but there's nothing in my log. After the CS, Waoud didn't say anything about going to any staging points.

I figured it might be because I had the corsair flag active (since they hate each other and all), so I went and finished that, waited til JP midnight just in case, and all Waoud will do is ask me for a divination that I end up paying for. Nothing about staging points at all. I'm on ToAU Mission 8, my BLU is 43, so I meet all the supposed requirements. I am talking to Waoud on my BLU every time too, of course.

Any ideas? The sword isn't that important to me since I already have the Combat Caster Scimitar +1 but I like doing all of the ToAU quests.

Same thing happened to me... I just went back a couple days later and it worked. Maybe you need to wait for a new conquest week or something.

While strange, there have been quite a few problems with the AU quests. One time I found that the problem that I had was solved when I actually left the Whitegate zone. Try different things, go out and do stuff, with time and patience, I'm sure the quest will unlock for you.

Have you tried going to a staging point to see if the quest is already active?

This same thing just happend to me. And after that cutscene with Raubahn. I talked to Waoud again and he preceeded to ask me the 10 question quiz again that gives you the blu quest (very strange).

He said some stuff like: "I see the symbol of the Stoneserpent" "All signs point toward Mount Zhayolm..." and "As divining is my stock in trade, it may hardly suprise you to know that I believe to be an ever flowing river of possibilities"

Then he told me to come back after a full cycle of the sun if i wish to here his divinations again. So I guess I'll see what happens then.

I just hit 40 and want to get my AF1 today, so I hope my quest is not broken.

Anybody else beside us have this problem??

I waited a full day went back to Waoud. Again he asked me the 10 questions to start the BLU quest.

Man this is F'ed up....
