While soloing T Dhalmels in Tahrongi, I realized that I can overwrite Sonic Wave with Cocoon. It's extremely valuable, as Sonic Wave is a severely crippling Def -50% effect. I mean, this isn't the first instance of buffs overwriting debuffs and debuffs overwriting buffs I've heard of, but it never hit me how powerful it is to be able to remove Defense Down effects on myself like that. I mean, we pretty much get "Def Down immunity" starting at Level 8. Of course, it seems a little silly to make a thread JUST for this, so I was wondering if anyone knows if it'll work on more powerful Def Down effects like Fomors'? (I believe Aegis Schism is like...-75% Defense?) Also, has anyone tested to see if Frightful Roar will overwrite Defense Up moves like Acid Bolts, and if Feather Barrier overwrites Evasion Down moves? Does Refueling have the same priority as Haste when it comes to overwriting Slow effects? Does Warm-Up overwrite most Accuracy down? Discuss!
(I'm assuming the answer is "yes" to most of these, since most debuffs save for a few only have "Level 1 priority" and are easily overwritten, but it never hurts to bring it up.)
