Well....I just found out that at level 50...I have a problem

Having only been playing the game since it came out for the Xbox 360...I have now run into a problem. Blue Mage is my highest level job, but....

I can't get Stinking Gas, Awful Eye, or Refueling because I haven't done any of the Promy quests from CoP.

Also, I don't have any of my items for the level 50 cap.


So I need to do:

- All 3 Promyvion Missions (requires a lot of help)
- Get my spells from areas I cannot access now (requires some help)
- Get 50 cap items (requires some help)

Man....I am at a lost for words now. I need those spells desperately and it appears I have a lot of work cut out for me if I plan on going any higher with the spells I need.

It appears I am going to need a lot of LS help here. Oh man this sucks....


I don't like how you can't accomplish minor things without the help of others. Hell at level 50 you can't do much of anything without the help of others.

This is one reason why they're called "advanced" jobs. Most advanced jobs require a little extra effort, and blue mage more so than most.

As far as limit breaks are concerned, they're no more difficult on Blue Mage than they are on any other job, really. Easier now than they used to be, since you can't spit in Jeuno without hitting half a dozen people with level 75 jobs.

If you participate in besieged, you can get refueling from clusters when trolls attack. I don't know what the conditions are to learn spells during besieged, but that's one of two options you have if you don't have CoP areas. Your other option is that there's some clusters up in Mount Zhaylom, but you'll need a lot of help, since those guys are in the 75s.

Stinking Gas is used by Doomed Flesh type mobs (big undead toad looking things) There's a semi-NM (its not actually a NM, but is sorta considered one, like Stroper Chymes in Ordelles) one in the depths of Gusgen Mines that should be killable by a 50 BLU. It has a longinsh repop (~30 minutes) I think. There are also higher level one sin Garlaige Citadel or Cadaerva Mire that you might be able to get a high levels to kill.

As mentioned, if you have the Halvung Staging Point, you might be able to get a high level decent solo job (BST/SMN/DRG/etc) to kill clusters right outside the staging point.

There are also Bugards for Awful Eye in the Mamjool Training Grounds, though you'd probably want 3-5 70+ people to get you that (it's kind of dangerous there).

Still, it's a good idea to go through CoP anyway. You will need it for Jettatura (Hippogryphs are only in Riverene Site #A01 and #B01 I believe), and it can be easy getting Fearsome Roar from Taurs while in the Sacrarium (not sure if you can learn it in the Aquaducts). Wyverns in Riverene Site #B01 are the easiest source of Radiant Breath. And most of the highest level skills are from monsters in {Sea}, which requires CoP through chapter 8.

and. after 70 ur need skill form <Sea> mob, that need to pass pm7 @ least, unless u can go almost everywhere in this game, u can't grab on BLU til 75 perfectly
