Re: /THF Subjob question
I very seldom use Sword WS in xp party. The extra TP really helps the damage on Mandibular Bite and increases the chance of a Critical Hit on Sickle Slash, I generally see 100-200 more damage on both of them when I use my TP to help those rather than making a self SC.
Also, self-SC'ing means that your SC timer is limited not only by your 2 minute timer on CA, but also waiting on you to get 100% TP, which generally takes BLU more than 2 minutes. You're definitely better off pairing up with another party member who gets TP faster (MNK, WAR, and SAM are my personal favorites right now...but probably only due to familiarity.)
Sure self SC'ing is cool, and great for solo, but I'm reasonably certain that your damage output will be higher overall if you're in an SC with someone else and not using Sword WS. At least until Vorpal Blade...if you're able to connect all 4 hits consistently and get TP quickly, I could see that being decent enough. Especially if you're using a spell to end it who's Accuracy is affected by TP and not the damage, since if you're using SA, accuracy is a moot point, on a single-hit WS anyways.
