Is it real that CHR effect on BLU buff skill?

Such like Geist Wall, Frightful Raor or Stinking Gas, ect. i read form somewhere that they say CHR is effect on this type of spell like BRD need in song. Anyone confirmed this?

Technically those are DEbuffs, but I've heard the same thing and can pretty much confirm it with Chaotic Eye and Stinking Gas, dunno about any others yet. I bring CHR gear with me that I macro in specifically for non-damaging debuffs, those seem to be the ones that are CHR-based for the most part (Stinking Gas -says- it does damage, but it doesn't).

Somthing for you guys to test: I was skill hunting with a DRK and a WHM and had the DRK absorb CHR after the monster used the skill I wanted. 2/2 so far using that tactic, and this was without using extra gear getting CHR.

Somthing interesting to test out at least.

I've noticed that a large number of blue spells also give chr as one of the effects, so I would tend to lean towards yes but the only other debuffs that are confirmed to be chr based are the bard spells. I am a mithra and have no problems with my debuffs sticking even now as I rotate out my chr+ skills into str and dex ones. I am curious that maybe the chr helps in gathering skills but again even being a mithra I have had no problem with that and many taru ls mates seem to be having more trouble than I.

hmmm i just go test with mi friend on mob in Sea

i try on geist wall 10 time on IT mob for lv 64 in palace

with + CHR gear , 20 CHR + , got resule 5/10 times success so it's successfull rate around 50 percent

and i do again with only melee gear so i got only base CHR not - or +, got result 0/10 (lol) not got any success to dispel w

and i also try on frightful roar, for this result almost same
with +CHR around 70 percent , without around 60 percent

I think with Geist wall test is really good sample for +CHR effect
so for now i think CHR really effect on some BLU skill for sure.

Maybe they are all treated like weaponskill then? So the fire based ones are str, the wind based are dex, light-mind and so forth? I am still low in my blu. So I haven't seen the alignment for the skills you mentioned.

I'm pretty sure it's not based on the element of the spell. They all just have different modifiers, it's going to take some time to figure out what they all are.

Like for example, MND helps Healing Breeze, we all know this. But did you also know that VIT helps it as well? Go try it out. It's not as big of an effect as MND, but it definitely has an effect. VIT is earth element and Healing Breeze is wind, so its not element related, it's just that spells have weird modifiers for BLU. Test out everything and see what seems to work, that's the only way we're going to be able to tell.

In general though CHR seems to help enfeebling BLU spells, they might have secondary modifiers too but I'm pretty sure CHR has the biggest effect.

Amiricle reported a while back that CHR increases the damage of Poison Breath, and theorized that CHR modified breath-based attacks. Geist Wail, Frightful Roar and Stinking Gas make sense in that category.

But doesn't poison count as a debuff? Or are you talking about the initial damage was increased?

My BLM friend will sleep this and then i will use skill on it so we try on same mob for that result
