That makes sense. If you can, could you try something out for me? Since you have a WAR with you:

Dimensional Death >> Spinning Axe

I realize its not very practical but the outcome would tell us what Dimensional Death's priority is in. It will make either Liquefaction or Distortion. If the WAR isn't with you,

Dimensional Death >> Dancing Edge
or
Dimensional Death >> Tachi: Jinpu

would work just as well.
