i Thought i would start this kind of thread, would help some people give some ideas on how to set up their blue magic list ( like me for example )

heres my list at the moment

Cocoon
Pollen
Sheep Song
Blastbomb
Head Butt
Bludgeon
Healing Breeze

Personaly I'm normaly solo so I use this set spell list most times. (makeing some ajustments depending on the types of monsters I'm looking to kill)
Foot Kick (for Liz Killer)
Sprout Smack (mostly for beast killer)
Wild Oats (Vitality Down is nice)
Cocoon(Def)
Pollen(healing)
Sheep Song(My get out of dodge spell)
Bludgeon(for spaming)
Claw Cyclone(decent distance damage)
Healing Breeze(mostly for regen)
Poison Breath(Distance poisoning, whats not to like)

I switch some out with
Head Butt(stun)
Feather Storm(nice distance damage)
Blastbomb(binding fun)

Almost level 17 and this is what I have set

Pollen
Healing Breeze
Sheep Song
Hell Dive
Head Butt
Power Attack - I want to take this off and replace it, but it only cost 1 BLU MP
Cocoon
Metallic Body

My BLU Magic is 15/15 therefore I can't replace Power Attack yet because everything else uses 2-3 BLU MP...I have Bludgeon and Blastbomb waiting at level 18 so who knows what I will do then...sometimes I get confused about what spells to use..heh

im 32 blue for party use

cocoon
pollen
head butt
bludgeon

soporific
poison breath

healing breeze
sheep song

cursed sphere or bombtoss depending on the mb

the rest i add vit bossting spells


for solo basicily the same but no mb spells replace with ranged spells and thf sub for sneak attack and sleep for when i can sneak attack again


thats currently what i use atm

Foot Kick and Pollen.... Lv 5 BLU

I also have Cocoon and Metallic Body.... Geez.. Foot Kick took ages to learn.

Considering that there is many various combinations you can do, not only a list of the ones you have active but maybe also some detail as to why? Like what stratedgy are you focusing to achieve out of it?

That way it isn't just giving the list but also giving the list function so others can see the ideas and stratedgy behind the choices.

I keep sprout smack because of the slow, bludgeon for the dmg, and healing breeze for the group healing, and of corse pollen when im out soloing. everything else is pretty much extra till i can find something to replace them.

Personally my list's strategy(or lack there of) is for inflicting as much damage as fast as possible. I’ll occasionally use a Juice to Refresh my mp if it’s a battle that’s over my head.
I sub bard mainly for the Army's Paeon(HP regen). Combining Army's Paeon with the natural auto regen from Healing Wind + Sheep Song and occasionally Selbina Milk(cheap from regional NPC) in most of my fights removes any need for me to heal and/or worry about poison.
Normaly I start with singing Army's Paeon, then cast Cocoon. I’ll then pull the monster with either Foe Requiem(if I don’t I skip this spell for the fight since it’s a slow cast), Wild oats or Poison Breath(assuming there are no other monsters near it). If the monster stays at a distance(assuming there are no other monsters near it) I use Claw Cyclone then move up and Bludgeon. If low amounts of damage are done in the first few casts then I will eather use a Milk and/or Juice to fight or Sheep Song to run to flee the zone. Then if I fight the I begin to cycle/spaming through damage/debuff spells till the monster falls(while hitting it).
It’s not much of a strategy, but it seems to work for me. Since I have yet to be in a party, I can’t really say what I would do in one.

I'm still in the process of getting my BLU spells. :sigh: Level 8, with 4 spells, means not many options just yet.

I've got:
* Foot Kick
* Power Attack
* Queasyshroom
* Sandspin

Working on Battle Dance and Sheep Song right now. And I still haven't left East Ronfaure.

27 BLU - not much choice

Macro #1 - Wild Oats (VIT down) + Sprout Smack (Slow) + Battle Dance (Dex down)

Macro #2 - Bludgeon - can't find any other nice damaging spell
Macro #3 - Headbutt - some damage + stun effect (usually casted while Bludgeon cooldown)

Macro #4 - Cocoon (DEF up) + Metallic Body (Stoneskin)

Pollen - for emergency while solo - not macroed due to rare usage.
Healing Breeze - for emergency while party + "Auto-Regen" job trait --- not macroed

Sheep Song - to get "Auto-Regen" job trait --- not macroed

Macro #5 - Blastbomb/Feather Storm/Poison Breath + Other Elemental spell.
(total 4 - currently macroed with Burst Affinity+wait --- make sure you are only equiped with one spell only)

If you add up the points it'll probably go beyond allowed points.
That's ok because those macro still works, if i don't have the spell equiped, then it'll just say error.

for example, Macro #1
sometimes i leave Battle Dance out due to point issue/Aoe issue
Or if i just do not want to cast Battle Dance then i just push Macro#2 right after Macro#1's Sprout Smack
Same thing applies to Macro#4 - if I don't want to cast Metallic Body(20MP & slow cast -- ugh!),
then i just push some other macro (90% Bludgeon) to switch right after Cocoon.

So....
My battle usually goes like...
(optional)#4 -> #1 -> #2 -> #3 (repeat #2 & #3 about 3-4 times usually)

For party work I try for a mix of enfeeble/damage/stat boosting

Sprout Smack
Wild Oats
Head Butt
Bludgeon
Cocoon
Sopophoric + Poison Breath (for Clear Mind)
Sand Spin
Bomb Toss
Blastabomb
Battle Dance

Not sure if that adds to 25 points, but its usually something like that.

For solo I swap out starting from the bottom for Pollen, Healing Breeze, Sheep Song, and Foot Kick or Power Attack (for a cheap TP feeding move)

Blastabomb does moderate AOE fire damage (~30 points usually) and has a chance of inflicting Bind on the creatures hit. I mainly equip it because it adds +1 STR. In some areas it can be useful to pull with.
