  • Luminion Vs. Luminian

When you're in the Set Magic menu, if you click the "Type |>" button it brings up a list of the mob family types. Near the bottom of the list is Luminion and Luminian.
I had no idea that there were two seperate families for them. So until some high level BLU lets us in on the information my questions are:

    1) Which creatures do you suppose go to which family? Aern to one and the others to the other one (doubt it)?

    2) What do you think the possibility that Luminion Vs. Luminian works similarly to Undead Vs. Arcana and Demon Vs. Dragon?

These are just a question out of my curiosity. Overall it's probably not too important I'm just interested and am curious as to what you guys think.

My Theory? In a nutshell, one type is the fish/sea type monsters, basicly everything outside the garden and palace except Aerns, and the other type is everything else (i.e. pots, balls, aerns, flowers)

Also, It would have to work like arcana/undead, otherwise there would be no point to splitting the two up.

Intresting didn't know there was a Luminion family I only knew Luminian. Considering that yes I would think the two would go Luminion <-> Luminian, makes me wonder then if the Empty have a counter?

Probably up to a point. I remember reading about how the empty was devoid of the natural order of the world and wondered how elemental attributes would work, but so far as I can tell, there hasn't been much issues regarding this.

I mean, if there was a case in which the empty had run on another system, then you'd think in COP at least, SE would've provided for additional and separate kinds of attributes (even if it only worked in those areas)

Wonder if BSTs can charm them >_>

Fullness, Taco Bell ftw. Luminion and Luminian might be pronounced exactly the same way by most people, but I would think one of them might be of a diminutive type.

Also an interesting point, though slighty off topic, a thief with the Tatami shield was continuously intimidating the NM you pop during the Two-Horn quest. I'm not sure which Killer effect it would have been though, because I've never seen beastmen become intimidated like this, nor humans.

Odd, looked up the Eo'ghrah (Sphere, Bird, Spider, Humanoid) and they drop the Luminion Chip. Description says it a piece of flesh from a Luminion, yet every place I look classified them as Luminian not Luminion.

Starting to wonder if a translation error is occuring in there.

            EDIT:

Without having enough knowledge of CoP storyline though I'm really starting to think that Luminion might of gotten lost in the translation. From the look of it, Luminion almost seems like it might of been the original name for Empties and Luminian for the stuff that is classified as it is.

Don't know seems like you'd need more info from the CoP storyline to figure it out.
