How to skillchain Blue Magic!

As many of you know, once Blue Mage gets the JA "Chain Affinity" they can use physical magic to partake in Skillchains. Here is a list of the physical weapon skills that can be used to SC and their attributes:

Liquefaction:
Bludgeon(Cardians)
Pinecone Bomb(Walking Trees)

Induration:
Grand Slam(Gigas)

Detonation:
Foot Kick(Rarabs)
Smite of Rage(Weapons)

Scission:
Claw Cyclone(Tigers)

Impaction:
Battle Dance(Orcs)
Head Butt(Quadav)
Jet Stream(Bats)
Uppercut(Goobbue )

Reveberation:
Power Attack(Beatles)
Sprout Smack (Saplings)

Transfixion:
Feather Storm(Yagudo)
Helldive(Birds)
Screwdriver(Pugils)
Wild Oats(Mandragoras)

Compression:
Queasyshroom(Fungars)
Sickle Slash(Spiders)
Terror Touch(Ghosts)

Unfortuneately I haven't found any blue magic capable of making Lv. 3 Skillchains.

Also note that Ranged physical magic(Wild Oats, etc) can still be used with SATA

It's interesting, you didn't find anything that can open/close Distortion?

Actually, yes. Just because an abillity is listed under "Impaction" dosn't mean it's impaction only. For instance, if you look at Aden's SC chart, available here, all the abilities in the thunder block are "Impaction" abilities, even though they can make Detonation and Induration SC. So, Feather Storm(Transfixion) -> Claw Clyclone(Scission) will make the ever-famous Distortion.

However, there is no magic that is a "Distortion" ability, so you can not make Light or Dark SCs with magic(yet)

Well I know for a fact that RLB > Jet Stream can make Fusion, so at the very least we can set up for a Light skillchain.

locus has a post about this here. Apparently you can tell where physical blue magic is on the skillchain chart by the stats they give when you equip them. Spells that give multiple stat boosts can be used from multiple places on the chart, like the way Flaming Arrow can be used to open Distortion or Fusion.

Is it possible to chain together two blu magic spells to create an SC? or do you need one ws and one spell?

It doesn't count as copyright violation as long as the posters don't cost anymore than their manufacturing and shippping costs, right?

Sadly Feba it would count as reproduction of an original work, technically you can do a copy for yourself under fair-use law but anything more then that single copy (or additional copies if the first one is lost/destroyed) is not allowed by copyright/fair use.

And not to burst a bubble Feba copyright has nothing to do with cost involved when you reproduce someone's works, it is the act to reproduce a work it that is covered by copyright laws (with some exceptions for fair use/personal use).

Even if SE would do something (highly doubtful), I wonder if that would be legal for him, as "guides" to things are normally ok as long as you don't use any trademarks.

Sadly that is exactly what copyright protects, reproduction outside of personal useage is exactly what copyright protects. Anything that is an original work the creator gets the status of copyright the moment it is created as long as it abide to a few guidelines.

In the case of the Skillchain Chart it is automatically covered by two of those guidelines, as an object of art as well as a litterary work. You cannot proclaim copyright of a formula such as the skillchains themselves, but the way Aden present the information in his chart makes them copyrighted exclusivly to him. (and no not even SE has anything to say about that).

This means Aden's has not only copyright to the chart he created, he also has distribution rights on them.

And to stay on copyright even more, you are actually not even allowed the reproduction and/or distribution of any litterary works without the writers consent (which technically makes quoting a forum post illegal if quoted in full). How odd it might sound this is how copyright works, unless stated otherwise we all break copyright laws the moment we use the quote feature on this very forum

Oooops sorry missed that part, in my defense I proclaim you didn't say that in your first post I originally quoted .

Still yeah he has the right to reproduce and distribute his works since they are derived from a formula used in a game. And to note a thing about copyright, it is equally bad to do something for non-profit usage as it is for profit-usage in the eyes of the law when it comes to copyright violations.
