I'm a lvl 11 blu atm and have 13 spells you just have to have patience and keep working at it just spam pollen as often as possible to get your blu magic up and its easier to learn from what your fighting
Level 10 BLU. Current Spells:
Pollen, Sandspin, Footkick, Sprout Smack, Wild Oats, Cocoon, Metallic Body, Queasyshroom. Just need Power Attack and I can continue leveling.
But back on topic, BLU's reputation will base soley like every other mage's reputation. You will be judged on what spells you have and how you use them. This is why it is key that every BLU gets every spell they can and test each one to see which is worth equipping in a party sitatuion and a solo situation.
BLU is quite possibly the most planned job out of all others.
Blu is now my bread and butter :D:D:D You gotta be very dedicated to do it well, as getting all the magics is VERY long/nerve testing, but like Lady said, its just so much fun when you like the job =) The rewards are all overweighting the costs in the end ^^
feather storm i think should be used in your stock at low lv its cheaper than queasyshoom and with my exp deals more dmg and u can cast from a distance

Not sure how well the rep of the BLU job will last.... what happens when you get a bunch of BLU together? They start showing off their spells, it turns into a contest of who has the bigger e-peen.
It's understandable to take your BLU spells seriously and be proud of every-single-spell you have, but whipping them out as some contest is juvenile. Yes BLU takes some dedication, be proud of what you've accomplished, but these early spells on just the beginning. There's roughly 93 spells out there, will you be able to get them all?
It's still premature, but hopefully the people looking for a quick trip to 75 will go play COR and leave the hardcore BLU alone. Why hardcore? You gotta be hardcore to stand hours on end to learn one single spell that you can't even equip yet.
I think the BLU will be judged like every other job... by the player.. there will be good bluemages and bad blue mages. I personally find the job very fun and i am definatley taking it to 75
I sub WAR myself. Hit 13 tonight, but have all my skills up to the level 20 set (I have 16-18, but no 20s yet).
I must say BLU soloing doesn't really feel much like a massive grind fest. It's fun to slap around Easy Preys in hopes you get a spell or duo with another BLU in hopes that the Dhalmel won't be a jerk.
BLU might be really one of those passion jobs...one of those jobs you just gotta love doing to fully enjoy. I know a lot of people are leveling it cause it is strong, but they absolutely hate doing it. I myself couldn't be happier.
Its actually fun to play the job the way you have to when real tactics are involved though. A player that gets PL all the way to 50+ will lack the reflexes someone has when playing in regular parties. BLU is a job full of ressources, and well, up to now, ive learned to use most of them, be it in sucky pts, pl pts, good regular pts, and of course the new BLU mana burn pt XD
I just love this job. Flexible, depends a lot on your sub as to what you wanna do, its just... so on par with my playstyle! :D
