    Each area of riverne requires that you start the PM that takes place there. That's PM2-5 "Ancient Vows" and PM4-2 "The Savage" respectively for A01 (40 cap) and B01 (50 cap).

    There are hippogryphs and wyverns in both places, but I don't know if you will be able to learn the level 54 Radiant Breath in a 40 cap area. It might allow you to do so if your real level is close enough, or it might deny it to you because your cap level is too far (assuming that 14 levels away *is* too far).

    You might want to pick up the cluster ability Refueling there too; I think in other areas they are a weather-based spawn, which may make them hard to find.

    Attohwa and Carpenter's Landing also only require having the expansion installed. Lumoria, however, requires completing chapter 7 of PMs, which takes quite a while; and almost all the high level blue magics are there.
    Defeated: Maat, Divine Might, Fenrir, Kirin, Cactrot Rapido, Xolotl, Diabolos Prime, Kurrea, 9/10 Dynamis Bosses (missing Tav), Promathia, Proto-Ultima, Proto-Omega, 4 Jailers, Apocalypse Nigh, 6/6 Nyzul Bosses
    RDM90, PLD90, DRG90, COR90, SCH90, BLU54
    All Nations Rank 10, ZMs & PMs Complete, AUMs Complete, Captain, Nyzul Floor 100 (5 Weapons, 4 WS), Medal of Altana, WotG Mission 15, 1/3 Addons Complete, 9/9 Abyssea Main Quests, 6/6 Caturae

      What exactly does Refueling do?

        According to mysterytour, Refueling is self-cast Haste.

        Thanks again, Karinya.

          Re: Blue magic learning guide

          Here's my own guide that I had posted on my LS site, feel free to use anything from it on the front. =P

          ---==[Blue Mage Facts]==---

          - Blue Mage can learn spells from mobs that con Too Weak to himself/herself. (Confirmed by Dierdre)

          - You do not need to gain EXP from a fight. However, the move you're trying to learn must still be within a learning range of 6-8 levels. (Confirmed by Beramode)

          - Blue Magic skill affects power of certain blue mage spells, increases chance of learning a new spell, and reduces interruption rate of Blue Magic.

          ---==[Blue Mage Rumors]==---

          -Using Blue Magic to finish off a monster that has used a learnable spell increases your chance of learning the spell afterwards.

          -Azure Lore can increase the chance of learning a spell if used on a monster that used a learnable spell.

          -Your character must be able to see the monster use the learnable move. (Can't learn it if you get the "Unable to see the <t>" message)

          ==================

          Job Traits- Blue Mage is really customizeable when it comes to job traits. When you equip certain combinations of spells, you'll get a job trait, such as Beast Killer or Auto Regen. It's pretty much what BLU has that makes it so uber. Here's a list of currently discovered job traits.

            Decently detailed Kametame, but all the data is spread through our forums. Taskmage looked like he was creating a quick refference to locate were each Blue Magic spell can be learned, so most of that not exactly required.

            You'll notice on the OP Taskmage beat your detail on locating the mobs for learning. I'm not a fan of rumors, especially if they don't hold decent logic to the game structure.

            Game structure and taking SE's notes suggest that Blue Magic will still be learned if you don't see the mob. Learning seems tied to the exp range nothing else special to range or location. If you want theories the most logical I could see is stats to learn being tied to your own stat. Which would suggest each race will learn certain things faster then others creating variations between Blue Mages (In the end all learnable to every race, just abilities that in compliment to the races natural ability would be learned faster).

You can't learn Power Attack until level 4 or Metallic Body until level 8, even if you see a mob use the ability and kill it before then.

              There may be inaccuracies in the list, especially if there are multiple mob TP moves with the same name, like the ones Karinya pointed out. I made this list by checking ffxicylopedia for the mob families of the TP moves I didn't recognize and using somepage's mob search to find targets in that family in a reasonable level range for when you hit the minimum required level for each spell.
              you can learn spells that are a few lvs higher then your blu about up 2 10 i believe it is because iv learned tons of spells like smite of rage and claw cyclone before i was the required lv and you can learn them after as long as the mob is still ep

                Actually, it turns out you can learn from Too Weak, also.

                  As I stated before, I posted this to aid Taskmage in any way. Also, rumors are there to be debunked/proven, not to spread around like many shamelessly do. As for my facts, they're well known by most of the blu community.

                  Even SE's leaders was wrong on BLU for many counts (which amazes me on how classified devs keep this info), and unless most of these facts are glitches that'll get patched up in later updates, that's probably the real way BLU can learn.

                      Blue Mage skill has nothing to do with learning abilities or spell damage. The only thing it affects is resist rates. Along with family, elemental, and weapon type weaknesses that contribute to damage increases or reductions all offensive spells can be partially resisted, which means it wont do as much damage than it usually would.

                              do you think that the day of the week or weather has anything to do with learning a new blue mage ability?

                                I haven't gotten to level 50 yet, but what I found on KI was 2 learned in U. Range, and 1 in Sac. Hope that helps.

                                Oh, and a post from the frightful roar thread on KI (link):

                                I wanna first start by saying thank you SE for such a wonderful waste of a day. I am 46 doing this and I have litterally been at this place out of hillarity's sake from about 4pm till..., what time is it now..., almost 3am. I say hillarity cause after about 5h trying to get the skill to be learned you just start laughing when the next one is killed. About 70% of the guys we smoked used the skill. Now we can't really say I am too low level to learn it cause I learned Refueling at 44 for a 48 skill. 50-46 is supposed to be 4 but as of nearing the 11h mark it might equal 10, I can't count any more. Suffice it to say I believe Rambus and Thedrama, but at the same time..., 11h. When I see a number like that I think of the stupidity in Aquaducts. My advice, there is nothing to see in U. Range. There is a lot of snow and sure you can make a whole family of snowmen while you wait for nothing to happen. But in the end, in my opinion at the very least, you will only end up with cold hands, and a bunch of demented snowmen that mirror the twisted insanity of your mind after a venture this stupid. I paid the price with my sanity today so that I could deliver a message to all the Blu's who want Frightfull Roar. Don't be that guy, snow is bad for your health, go to the Sacrarium. Get the damn skill there. You might still love the class by going there instead of U. Range.
