Alright got it now. So not someone making a defining statement that only 1 mob contributes 1 blue magic. Just a running theory not a set definite rule. Just make sure that's pointed out, then if someone actually spends the time to debunk it'll be concrete proof then just a running theory with an actual source to reference to prove.

I think they missed a few of the new monsters for abilities (Orobon, Puk). According to Mystery Tour, Lamia teaches Hysteric Barrage and Tail Slap, but I've also seen a Merrow use both, so perhaps either one.

Then again, if you carefully look at the new Beastmen, they look very different from others (Mamool Ja's are different colors and look almost like different species). Perhaps you can learn either from a Mamool Ja, or perhaps Square-Enix decided to be a pain in the butt, telling you that you can only learn Firespit from the Warrior ones and Warm-Up from the mage ones.

Were did you get a statement of Square-Enix saying this?

          Re: Blue magic learning guide

That's certainly true - it's a theory deduced from the available data, not something from official notes. So it may not hold up for all mobs.

In addition to the Empty and the HNM-only families (adamantoise, behemoth and wyrm - plus special bosses like Shadowlord and avatars which are not normally considered part of a family), several other monster families have no known blue magic (even though everything in the DATs is supposedly accounted for).

          Chigoe
          Clot
          Elemental
          Fomor
          Mimic
          Orobon
          Puk
          Spheroid
          Yovra

have no known blue magic. Chigoe, Elemental, Mimic and Spheroid don't have a normal set of TP moves, but the others all do.

(Edit: removed Roc. Roc = Greater Bird has Feather Barrier. Thanks for the correction.)

None of them can be matched to the "extra" blue magics from TAU beastmen, though. So it appears that for whatever reason, those monster families and the TAU beastmen are exceptions to the "one family, one blue magic" rule - at least, if present reports are accurate.

Feather Barrier at 56 is from Rocs. I have it listed as Greater Bird because that's what it is in the somepage database, which is what I used for most of this.

These areas need CoP to do.
                - Lufaise Misareaux
                - Riverne #A01
                - Phomiuna Aqueduct
                - Pso'xja
                - Oldton Movalpolos

But I want to know, there place need any require?
                Someone said
                - Lufaise Misareaux
                - Riverne #A01
                - Phomiuna Aqueduct
Only need to do is complete Promyvion Holla-Dem-Mea then you can go
but - Pso'xja and - Oldton Movalpolos you can go without CoP M.

                Is that right?

                  Re: Blue magic learning guide

I don't know about Riverne. I still have to get there myself. Lufaise and Phomiuna require you to finish chapter 1 of the CoP missions. Pso'xja and Movalpolos only require you have the expansion installed.

                    Diamondhide 67 Troll
                    Enervation 67 Eruca
                    Firespit 68 Mamool Ja
                    Warm-Up 68 Mamool Ja
                    Hysteric Barrage 69 Lamia?
                    Tail Slap 69 Orobon?

You had most of these correct, but in my battles with the Lamia I have yet to see either Hysteric Barrage or Tail Slap. I've actually seen Orobon use Tail Slap, so I'm more inclined to believe it comes from them. If it doesn't, well that would be a shame since Orobon must be fished up during a rather limited amount of time just to present you with a limited amount of chances to learn the ability. It's very fitting.

I'm just going by reports. Mysterytour lists Lamia as using Tail Slap and Hysteric Barrage, and LadyPeorth has confirmed that. If Orobon use it as well, then we'll just have to wait for someone to actually learn it to be sure. I'll put Orobon back in the list though.

hmm, i got a question about

                          Ram Charge 73 Ram La Theine/Konschtat (21-23), Lufaise (81-83)

if it is level 73, dosnt that mean we can only learn the ability if we go after the HNM/NM virsions?

                            - Riverne #A01 there were some cutscenes involved when we first entered. I'm not sure if you can enter it without seeing this cut scene. All you need for this cutscene is talk around tavnazian I think. Can't remember exactly.

Nope. The old information about not being able to learn blue magic unless you get experience was a mistranslation. locus found the Japanese patch notes and they really say you have to be close enough to not get the "too far from the battle to gain experience" message.
