From what I read on Blue Mages so far, there would have to be a timer on using the abilities. As for getting the abilities I read that at Lv.1 they have the ability Learn. 3 minute recast, my geuss is you use it on the enemy and when it readies a TP attack you learn it or you use it on yourself and if your hit with it you learn it. I also read their two hour uses all their learned spells starting from Lv.1. Just what I heard, no truth in it.

I've been taking some time looking at skills from monsters. Some of them are mimics of eachother, howver spells like the Raptors flame breath, the Spider's slow, Cataru's 1,000 needles, are pretty specific to 1-2 races.

I have a feeling "Level UP" versons of certain skills may just be another monster's version of a similar skill. While some skills that are more unique, are heavily dependant upon the BLU's stats. (I can see a BLU equipment swapping alot...)

As far as the Blu Melee issue. The website discribes Blu as a "Fighter Mage" That 'decimates' its opponet up close with a simitar. I think that woudl belie a high level sword skill. Every discription about RDM is more generic about having 'some' skill in each magic and some melee, emphising its versitility. This discription for BLU looks more like a solo DD job.

actually, i think it would make perfect sence for blu's abilities to be tp based. after all, the skills they are learning from the mobs were tp based when the mobs used them.
