How many people here will seriously switch to Blue Mage when its available? I know when I get to 30 I'm still going to take a Paladin job. Is there anyone else that will stick to their jobs or is Blue Mage just to appealing?

Going to level it and play it after sufficient data is obtained.
Main points are:
1) Do I hafta get hit by said skill?
2) Beastmen skills allowed?
3) What types of Armor/Weapons?
4) What general party role is?All spells obtained!

yea well i still have a ways to go before i m lvl 30 to get the job but that will only take like a month or so
i will DEFINETLY try it out after the rush has calmed down
i kinda wanna see what people think of it and i want ot see how it plays and what it does in ffxi (i have seen it in the other ff games) and i really want to see what its gunna do for armor and weapons. stuff like that
but other than that i wanna figure the rest out for myselfComment

Given that they're described as "warrior-wizards" who wield "curved swords" (scimitars?), I might well try if they turn out to be High-Level Red Mage, Take Two, Now With More Melee and Less Refresh Whoring. -- PteryxComment
