From what I've read, AM2s increase in accuracy in general with each merit upgrade, and not just during Magic Burst. At 1/5 merit upgrades, AM2s are less accurate than T4s.

I will attest to this. I used Elemental Seal last night against Shiva and she only took 74 damage from Burst II....


I was at a complete loss for words.

That's not so much a testament to the inaccuracy of AM2, but one to the imperviousness of Shiva to anything except Fire magic. Even with Elemental Seal I've seen her resist other elements quite often.

It would be very hard to know for sure but I would say AM2's MACC along with MAB from additonal merits only activate on MB. Kirin is a good example of this, I can cast tornado2 on kirin w/o MB'ing and get resisted 3/5 times, whereas when that nuke is a MB I hardly ever resist. I know this is a general trend and that almost all nukes are more accurate when done as a MB but I can usually drop down to about 300 skill and fill in more MAB on kirin and still land MBs pretty consistantly.
