If I remember right, I was level 56 or 57, so I couldn't have used coat yet anyway (I used ES already on the first link. Otherwise I could have done ES+Sleepga and pray when there was 3). I got resisted on manaburns about as much as everyone else (only time I remember getting constantly resited sleep was on those blm gobs (like everyone else) @ Bibiki bay since we weren't using ES sleep. I did suggest it tho, but others wanted to trust on bard's sleep & us on back up. I used ES sleep on those when it was up tho, so about half of the time). Of course, people will tell me get AF gears. It's nothing suprising. However, since I perform about as well people that have AF gears/better, I just work on them slowly when people have time to help. I usually try to do things unitl the point where I need help (like I soloed Mission 4-1 unitl Beadeaux since I can't solo the NMs there. Also solo'ed 60cap unitl Castle Oztroja. I know it's possible to solo that even, but it's pretty hard. Managed to get my testimony while we were there tho. lol).
I sometimes tell people jokingly to get novio earring (friends mainly). It's pretty much any blm's dream gear as you know. Is person gimped gear-wise if they don't have it? Yes, but there is very few people (on any job) that aren't gimped gear wise. It's just that how much person is gimped. I know my gears are a lot more gimped than people's that are just missing novio (or many other gears like hq staves. Not that I have either).
