Myself and a couple of other guys in my LS have jokingly been messing about with random subjobs (as you do), and I got to thinking about this one.
Now, not having Blm at 70+, I only had the stat calculator to look at, and my own rationale for how's and why's... and thought...
70+ Blm/Pld gets some limited healing capabilities (not status removal though), increased HP (for not a huge MP sacrifice), and Auto-Refresh, for the loss of 2 Int (stat wise), no status cures (if /whm).
I then looked through the boards I view - and realised that skill > Int anyways at later levels... and started wondering if this joke combo (reversal of Jinghles Pld/Blm Spikes) was actually not quite as big a joke.
Yes - you do lose Blink and Stoneskin. You gain auto-refresh.
It's not /Smn - where you gain the biggest MP pool you can (and keep auto-refresh), as it still has functionality in regards to be able to toss cures out.
I don't believe it's ever going to replace /Whm or /Rdm as standard subs, but was wondering if the combination of auto-refresh + healing magic would be enough to make it worthwhile for some scenarios...
Anyone actually done this and had any experiences of this that I can either accept that my theories are just remedial or have some value?
