Aspir guide/list?

Sorry if there's already a post on this, I couldn't find it in the massive list returned by searching.

Does anybody have or know of a list of mob (families) that have MP for me to steal? Also, am I correct that with the exception of Beastmen, it's by family? Meaning all crabs, all beetles, etc. can be Aspired, while all big bats, all bat triplets, etc. can not.

not entirely. Like, i'm fairly certain you can aspir Abraxas in Lufaise, but not in other parts of the world.

I've never fought a Dark Elemental. Can anyone confirm this? I know that I can cast Stone 3 on an Earth Elemental and it will do damage, but very little.

It all goes down to job types, every mob has a job type, even if we can't see it. Most mobs are WAR which makes it really hard to see. Crabs and Beetles are PLD, as shown by their armor (shell), DEF, and MP.

I'd suppose MOST crawlers are WAR, but that crawler is a WHM as it also casts Cure III (spams really)

As for elementals, dark elemental shouldn't be immune to drain, but highly resistant.

I'll take it out, but you stated that that line was false. How can it be false when one strategy for that BCNM is to Aspir him out of MP before you kill him?

I think he meant the part about crawlers (as a rule) not being Aspir-able was false, but (accidentally?) deleted that part of the quote.

Lets do this, everyone give the names of the mobs, not just the family, the actual name of the monster too, post it here and eventually we'll have a list.

This is pretty useful, and i never seen this anywhere else...

Heres a guideline:

Im so interested in this that whenever i aspir a mob, im typing it down on a piece of paper and add it on a list.

If we ever get a big enough list i'll make a sticky post and give free cookies to all that contribute.

A searchable list, using the "search this thread" function will be quite useful.
