    Compiling whatever I can find in response to this thread of my own, I went on a search for gear I could wear endgame.

    Weapons are a dead giveaway (Staves), Ammo is Phantom Tathlum or Hedgehog depending on your MP situation. Rings are always (Presently) what gives the most Int among other things. Also depending on MP, Zenith gear may be nice.


    Comparing a set of Yigit and AF2...

    Yigit:
    Def:119 MND+12 INT+8 MP+25 HP+25 Evasion+22 HMP+8 MagAttBonus+11 Refresh

    AF2:
    Def:123 INT+5 MP+90 Enmity-9 Elemental+15 Dark+10 Enfeebling+5 Refresh MBBonus Week:ElementalMagic ConserveMP+5

    Make what you will. I've heard MAB is the be-all and end-all, followed by Elemental skill, Int then MP. Personally I'm leaning towards a combination, with nifty tricks and solid MAB.



    My Optimum Setup: (Not including macro gear, keep in mind I'm a Taru)


    Head: Yigit Turban
    Body: Sorceror's Coat
    Hands: Zenith Mitts (Sorceror's Gloves for Bursting)
    Legs: Sorceror's Tonban (Depending on Week: Elemental Magic Effect)
    Feet: Yigit Crackows

    Waist: Penitents (Unless there's good weather or something)
    Back: Merciful Cape
    Ears: Moldavite and Novio
    Rings: Snow Rings (INT+5, AGI+2, STR-2)

    Weapon: Elemental Staff
    Ammo: Phantom Tathlum

    Ok, you forgot 1. Rebublic Circlet(Head), 2. Druid's Slops(Leggs), and Lamiabane(Ranged). There are other items that are even better than these and the rest you listed, but they make getting a full ste of AFv2+1 like a walk in the park, so I left them out.

    Aside from that, good job, you got most of the basics.

      I'll include the Circlet and Slops, but the Lamiabane's latent effect makes it an absolutely horrible weapon.

      As for the "Better" items, let me know what they are? I could include them.

        no Rostrum Pumps listed...

        INT+3 MND+3 Enhances Fast cast..

        Their is no ideal set of BLM, BLM should be changing equips depending on the type of spell that is being cast.

        e.g You could have an ideal Nuking set, but this would be useless if you wanted to cast sleep on a hi LV mob...

        and what about Sorcerors Ring with MAB+10!!!

        Then you need your HP- set too!! so would have to include Zenith equips, Serket Ring, Tiphia Sting, Astral Shield, Ether Ring, etc....

        HQ Staves also!!

          Hq Staves are given.

          Rostrum and Sorc's will be added. I used Alla's DB, so there were a few things missing.

          And yes, I know about macroing in gear. The ideal set I put up was a nuking set, seeing as that is our main job.

            For head you should add Igqira and Genie Tiara, I use them for my enfeeble macro, +10 enfeeble.

            For hands you should add Igqira and genie manillas, they are very powerfull. My genie manillas are uber until I get my Z mitts. Let's not forget the Master Caster's bracelets, they come in handy in my enfeeble macro, +7 enfeeble.

            For legs again the Igqira or Genie leggings should be noted, I also use them in my enfeeble macro for an additional +10 enfeeble.

            Zenith pumps are good for mp macro on feet if you like and the igqira or genie gear for feet are awesome.

            for Waist you should add the RSE mage belts, my Jungle rope adds 48 mp and 4 int. It is my mp first cast dd macro belt, then I switch to 2nd dd macro that has Penitent's robe that you already noted.

            Neck, uggly pendant for less then 50% mp casting.

            Your idea of a maximum setup is exactly what I have in mind of a maximum setup aswell, good post.

              If you are a Mithra, River Gaiters @LV62 are your best friends.

              +4INT/MND and 35+MP (non-convert).

              I would wear these until LV75 and switch in my Rostrum Pumps. But even then, is the Fast Cast simply negligible? I would think so.

              Elvaans and Galka get great INT+ gear w/MP also. Those should be mentioned.
