Moon phases affect damage?

I would like to know how moon phases mixed with elemental day can affect damage output.

I wonder if spells can be affected by the time like crafting crystals are.

I already understand that thunder workds best on the day, or any buddy elements day.

buddy elements = the light side vs. the dark side

What Im trying to say is, can elemental casts be sory of HQed?

Ive noticed that some blms are able to bring the damage extremely high, I wants the neat info on how this damage can be done aside from sorcs and uggly latents.

Or am I on to nothing?

Well, I think day does play a part, but so far there has been no evidence to suggest that direction or moon phase has anything to do with it.

Unless someone out there has some numbers for you.

I don't have any numbers, but if you want to do a test here's the going theory of the moon (as it applies to crafting):

There are two types of elements that can be identified by examining the level 3 skillchains:

Elements that compose "Light": Light, Fire, Air, Thunder

Elements that compose "Dark": Dark, Earth, Water, Ice

The New Moon is the "Dark" moon and influences the Dark elements positively and the Light elements negatively.

The Full Moon is the "Light" moon and influences the Light elements positively and the Dark elements negatively.

Thanks Sabaron, I was hoping there might be more to it then just that, but It seems like there may not be more then just moonphase modifiers aside from gear. I guess waxing vs. waning may have a limited effect. Ill have to field test to see if there are any differences.

I wonder how Full thunder moon might effect Stone spells.

I am finally getting around to wondering about this stuff^^

Only stuff I know to be effected by moon phases are like Moon gear and Rabbit items. (Yes, rabbit items are effect because of a tale of the Rabbit in the Moon. The rabbit supposedly guides lost travelers to safety is the lore.)

It sounds logical enough, but SloppySue and another (ElmoreB maybe?) had formulated an Elemental Magic Damage Formula, identifying nearly all the factors in nuke damage, including INT, enemy INT, MAB, staves, obis, AF2, day, and weather. It was 100% accurate up to very high level mobs like gods. It didn't include moon phase.

It may affect resists, however.
