i only had good experiences with my BLM in ToAU so far ...
(leveld from 63-74 since the expension is out)
i never had problems finding a PT... i killed crawlers in mount zhylum till level 67 and did pretty good dmg, then i was expeing in bibiki bay for 2 levels .. then went back to ToAU and exped on Marids for awesome exp (up to chain 7 on 1 marrid).
now i solo marrids for fun, waiting for PT invites... (marrid hair is 450k on my server so thats a good way to get some pocket money w)

Here's an interesting little thing I found. This weekend when I went out to Al Zahbi, I found a lvl 55ish party in Wajoam Woodlands, right near the Olduum Telepoint, exp'ing off Lesser Colibris. It seems a little tricky because of their Snatch Morsel ability (sorry PLDs no tacos!), but at least as a mage you'd still be able to get away with using Ginger Cookies.

I think I may try it out tomorrow.. If anyone else knows this spot, let me know how good it is.

It would work, but it's not snatch morsel thats annoying, Colobris(both lesser and normal) have a HUGE resistance to magic.

Around that lvl I had fun manaburning Dhalmels. Thats if it is not crowded there. I partied there alot before the expansion so I don't know what its like now, I imagine it is less busy.

Here is a cool manaburn trick with dhalmels that we used. party set = 4blm, 1bard, 1whm.
Have the bard go get a dhalmel or goblin. Have the highest enfeebling blm sleep it or if your whm is a red then have the red sleep it. Then have the bard repeat till you have 2 or 3 mobs sleeping in front of you. Quickly AoE all your highest spells at the same time then all blm spam sleepga 2. Then do it again and they should all be dead. It is good if the whm is a whm and not replaced with a red so R3 is available because it just takes one shotty blm to screw it up. This method gets xp really fast.
