2nd job Maat fight?

Hello, Well the time is/has come to fight that grumpy old man again. I whooped him as bst, now as blm. I know I'll get a lot of "you don't need to fight him again", but I want to while blm is fresh in my mind.. Maat's cap way way down the road.

Anyway, my question is:

Someone told me after you beat maat the 1st time, you can go for every other job as lv75, Maat will remain at 70, but if you die you lose exp. Umm is this correct? I can go Thunder IV his butt to death?

I solo'd my blm test with my bst already (and was hoping for a aero IV in the process- no dice).

I know you can go in as 75 and many people had told me Maat got a lot easier. I don't know if he remains 70 but it sounds like he does.

Losing EXP, this I don't know...

I did not know you went in as 75, I heard you are always stuck at 70 when going in, even if you are beyond that level ><

Well you don't lose EXP from him when you're doing the quest. I guess they could have changed it, since when you do it the first time it's a quest, and would really hurt if you lost a few times like some people do.

I've heard of RDMs going as RDM75, Thunder III his butt, then melee him down with a Joytoy and Savage Blade. (That's what I would like to do, but I'm only Lv.73, and I don't have my Joytoy yet.)

I know a couple of people in my LS have multiple Lv.75 jobs, but none of them went back to fight him again. I plan to fight Maat at Lv.70 with every new job I hit Lv.70 with. So DRK and WAR are coming up soon~ish, and I've always wanted to fight Maat as SAM. So I'm leveling SAM for that reason alone. lol

I'm busy trying to raise gil now for my Hauby, and other Lv.50 melee gear, or I'd go farm a test and try him again. I'd like to see how much damage I can do now that I have INT+50, and Blizzard III.

Thanks! at least I know if I go in there with errant stuff and what not i'm not going to have to fight him nakie.

That's why I'm taking care of it as I go ^.^ If I lv another job even from 38-75 (brd) I'll forget all about blm XD Well not really, but it only takes a second.

I think some jobs would be just tons of fun to take Maat down with. MNK would be fun, RNG would be fun, I plan to go as WAR and use Rampage, instead of Raging Rush, just to see how that works. I've done it as RDM, so I dunno about going as BLM. I love RDM and BLM, but I just can't see myself taking WHM past Lv.42 so I can Teleport LS-mates and myself. But I plan to take down the Old Fart as DRK, RDM, SAM, and WAR. I already have my WAR and DRK test.

One thing I wish they'd do, is to let us hang our tests on the walls once we beat him. I still have my torn RDM test in /storage. Would be sweet to hang that test next to my Windurst flag on my MH wall.
