BLM and Partys?

Hello everyone

I have been away from the game for along time now and I have pretty much forgot about most of the things jobs do lol. Anyway was wondering about BLM's I have a lv 40(Might be 37) BLM and I am thinking of making it my main but I have been put off by the high costs of the items/spells My chars a Hume ^^ so I have decent MP but was wondering how everyone else found it. Also if you have tips for MB's that would be VERY useful ^^

And any advice hehe ^^

In my humble opinion, BLM is one of the most exciting jobs in the game. If the tank is able to keep hate on the mobs, you can cast away and deal some of the most deadly damage in the game.

The higher levels(50+) is where blm really shines. With the AM spells, (Freeze, burst, etc), you can control the timing of skillchains and watch the mobs health go from a quarter to nothing.

As for MB's, your best bet is to ask who's going first and second. After that, just pay attention to what the party members TP is at and pay close attention to the second person who's part of the skill-chain.

what about Equipment is it really expensive? Cause I remebver the Int +4 rings like 200k

Yeah, int equipment gets pretty expensive. Once you get AF gear (50 -60), the only pieces of equipment you really have to pay attention to are rings and earrings. I got 2 wisdom rings for 200k each. (+3 int boost), but theres genius rings (+4 int) in the level 50 range, i think. Those go for around 2 mil a piece on my server. You could most certainly get by with wisdom rings, though.

As for weapons, you will need to work on obtaining each elemental staff, as it will add to that type of elemental spell. The prices differ from 20k-500k on my server, so you're going to have to save up for them.

Technically, you could get by with just a dark staff and an ice staff, but the extra staves are very useful when casting certain spells.

The staffs are ok I have afew but the 2mil+ spells and items are a major put off lol

Most of the spells you can quest for, and as for the AM spells, the only one that is really needed in an xp party is Freeze, which cost about 5k. Granted, the price of spells will go up, but it's worth it in the long run for me.

So what does freeze do? lol and Sleepga II is 2mil mega expensive and a pain to quest

Freeze is a spell, that once MBed can do up to 1500 damage. (The norm is around 1000-1200 dmg)

As for sleepga II, it's not that difficult to quest. The pre-quests are really easy and the only help you need is the NM quest for it.

MBs are easier to land if you pay attention to the melee character animations and time off of them instead of timing off of the macros the melee provide. This is because the time window they have to do thier ws is open by a few seconds which can throw off your accuracy if you use the macro for timing alone. Instead let the macro give you a heads up to pay attention to the melee animations. You can time your cast off of the second wsers animation. Play with that and you will soon have the ability to land your MBs and contribute to the parties that much more.
