Something's been bothering me lately. Can anyone tell me, from experience, wether or not Elementals are fully immune or simply highly resistant to a) their own element and b) the element they're strong to? To put it simply...would a level 60+ BLM be able to land Slow/Rasp on a 20-ish Earth Elemental in, say, Tahrongi Canyon? Would he/she be able to land Stun/Shock on the same Earth Elemental? I want to do some experimentation on resist rates with Level 2 and 3 skillchains (since they have multiple elements) and the ideal way would be to do skillchains on Elementals, but first I'd need to know exactly how they're affected by the elements they're strong to. Thanks in advance!

Re: Resist rates vs Elementals?
I play stupid when solo, and from what I've seen you can hit the Elementals with anything and it'll most likely stick. I remember casting Aero on a Wind Elemental, yea... Either it wasn't effective because they both are in sync or I just really need to work on my spells damaging more... -w-;
Fishy
There once was fish,
Whom made a perfect dish
To a giant fish.
The giant fish was caught,
By a Mithra which sought
To fill her hunger.
The Mithra was slayed,
By a monster whom would raid
The land.
What have we learned?

Re: Resist rates vs Elementals?
if they are much weaker than us, anything works I guess.
I as a 75 rdm can't land silence on wind elemental in tarongi tho...There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Re: Resist rates vs Elementals?
Hm....could it be that they're immune to status ailments of their element (like Undead are immune to Drain) but can still take damage from their element (with high resistance, of course?)
