Why does this occur? Even if I haven't been attacked it happens sometimes. I'll be beaten to the punch by people lower leveled than me casting the same spell because "the casting was interupted"

Positive, I enter the command and stand still (I'm a low level, but no noob to earlier final fantasies 1 - 3)

If you enter the command then stand still theres a huge posibility that you were moving when you started casting on their server I think. If your standing still before you enter the command then I dunno wtf is going on.75 Mnk Sam | 70 Drk | 40 Blm | 37 Nin Rng Thf War

its lag between you an the server. as a bst i see this all to often. release pet. get hit, use rampage. the mob dies an im hit with the % pet loss. meanwhile its already de spawned.

You're probably casting too soon after moving, I used to get it quite a bit until I realised what caused it. You have to stand still for a second or two before you start casting.
