i usually stick to east ron for 1-8 or so. less aggro there, i think.

funguars are a little too hard for the xp they give. i tend to just avoid them and kill everything else.

and yes, with the xp patch and the xp rings, soloing 1-10 is laughably easy^^ just stick to easy prey, that's the trick to getting it over quick

on a new character, if you keep signet on all the time, i think you get enough conquest points to buy an xp ring around level 7ish or so, too.

yea I never had any problems lvling to 10, I mean when I first started I did, but then i got a hange of it and it became a lot easier ^^

this is what i say when i lvled my taru taru blm mage, i would never touch sheep until lvl 8 or even 9 lol low hp and not having a sub is worst >.<

keep a staff or club on you <i like club personaly>
juices are nice but then again i just used milk.

its just a slow getting there and at lv 9 you can go to the dunes as a mage but being a whm or blm your spells wont do much till maxed out. i hoped this helped ya out

I leveled my Black Mage with no sub job first. I wasn't relying on my staff or a club to deal damage. I'd bind the mob do some enbeff's and then nuke away. As a Taru you have low hp and you can't cure yourself so I find that melee is a last resort. But I would recommend getting yourself an ash pole it's pretty decent till level 10.
