Galka BLM needs help please

Hey all, just coming back to the game after a 10 month abscence lol. I want to pickup lvling my blm again

I don't know what priority to get things in though. I focused at first on +mp, but I hear that might be bad. What's most important? I'm a lvl 45 blm. I'm not rich, but I can get by.

So what's the order or priority? Elemental skill/Magic Atk/Int/Mp? My key worries are my ring and belt slots, as I currently have +55mp from my rings and +20 (IIRC) from my belt, but no +int on any of that. I'm wearing full RSE and seers +1 crown.

Current stats:

HP 717
MP 512
Int 47 + 16

I was thinking I should ditch a hundred mps or so to pickup some int. What do you think?

Also, what were the 3 debuff spells that can stack that blms usually use? I forgot

Recommend you use a couple of macros to switch between MP gear and INT gear. That way you can get the max MP you want, but can ramp up your INT as you start spending yourself down.

If you haven't done so already, you should invest in an NQ Seer's Tunic (HQ isn't appreciably better besides +1 DEF and +1MP).

Depending on your subjob, Healer's Earring(-1 enmity while SJ = WHM) or Warlock's Earring (+1 MP recovered while healing while SJ = RDM) is probably a good investment for you.

Remember to save for elemental staves before you hit level 51. In order of importance for BLM in XP situations:

Dark staff > Ice staff > Thunder Staff > the rest

Gear-wise you can probably pick up a couple of Electrum Rings and an Electrum Hairpin without spending too much. Stick with the RSE, it's better than most everything else you can use.

NQ? Sorry, I don't know that means Been out for too long I guess hehe. Is that the next grade up from HQ?

Are these better than morion earring +1 and moldavite you think? I plan to spend the rest of my savings on the morion, and I'll camp the moldavite with my drk.

Right now I'm using an Astral ring and some other lvl 40 rare ring (didn't recognize it from before but saw it on ah; ether ring maybe? 30hp converted to 30mp). Should I replace my seers +1 crown (+3int) with the electrum?

I'm really at a loss for how much int I should have. Thanks again for any and all advice

I haven't tried LFG since I've been back lol. I know there will be a learning curve again, and I know first impressions are important. So I want to at the very least have my gear squared away first.

Ah, you funds aren't as limited as I thought. Astral Ring and Ether Ring are both fairly expensive items.

Morion Earrings are amazingly overrated. I like the subjob-specific earrings better, and Moldavite Earring (though if you use /RDM by preference you could use a Morion(+1) while casting and the SJSE Warlock's Earring while resting).

And yes, NQ = no quality. Regular gear.

So those are good rings to have vs the +3int I can use at this lvl? I swapped a lot of gear around, and now my stats are:

Int 47+23
MP 470

Again, I really have no idea what my int should be at =\ So I'm hoping this is alright. What do you think?

I've found that as long as your +INT is somewhere around the +20-25 range, stacking any more has very little effect on spell resists, and very minimal impact on spell damage. Sounds like you're fine.

Hmm thread is a tad inert but ill post anyway
I'm currently a 50 blm/25 whm Galka on teh Kujata server. Anyway My normal gear gives me about a measly 540(ish) MP. I have the four peices of RSE, morion, moldative, rose wand+1, lantern shield, thalmus, Dester Stone( this thing is amazing +40 MP +3 INT!!! cost me 2 mil though), Black cape +1, astrals*2 and the +3 int rings when i use my astral mp. But basically what i think is a good idea is when when i hit 51, Im gonna have three macro sets 1) for max mp for use at beginning to get elemtnal debuffs etc 2) +int for my nuking after i exhausted the mp bonus i get from items and lastly 3) +hMP gear so that even with crappy mp, at least i can recover it quicker! thats the way i want to go. I already have 2/3 coffer keys and I really enjoy blm, I recently got freeze and even though i couldnt MB in pt i did try it out on a "called for helped" rumble crawler in CN which did about 800 dmg; that made me happy.

second question.. if u did cancel ur account 10 months ago... are u still planning on useing ur old char.. or makeing a new one?
